About
Located just 15 minutes from Flint, The Captains Club Golf & Event Center is one of the area's most popular public courses and it was even voted Grand Blanc's best golf course. Known as much for the challenging layout as it is for the affordable rates. The spacious layout offers plenty of room with wide-open fairways, none of which run parallel to one another. Dense stands of mature trees enclose most of the holes, making them feel even more peacefully secluded. Towering trees loom above the narrow fairways and they also surround the large, undulating greens. Water also has a prominent presence on the golf course. A series of waterways weave through the holes, almost completely surrounding some of the greens. The Captains Club Golf & Event Center is a course that will test your iron skills, but there aren't many opportunities for driving.

Company golf outing
We did our company outing here. They were top notch! Constant communication. Kept everyone on schedule. Alex and Brandon in the pro house helped out tremendously! Thank you guys for the great time.
Great staff, good course
The staff was very friendly; from greeting us as we arrived to the person in the pro shop. The course was in good condition. Some of the tee boxes were a bit beat up, but not bad. I would definitely recommend this course to friends.
Overpriced for what it is. They will let you book a tee time the same time as the worlds slowest leagues. Refuse to issue refunds for getting stuck behind a league when they should've never allowed you to go out so soon. Some of the tee boxes are horrific and if it rains expect it to be flooded for the next week
First round of this year
The course was in good shape. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were beautiful. The rough wasn't overly long and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The only problem we had was once we made the turn, it started to get backed up. At one point there were two foursomes waiting at the tee while another foursome was still not to the green, other than that, all in all a great day.
I don't care for walking up the stairs every time uou want to go into the club house.
Golfnow did not really save us any money. We paid $75 for 2 players with GN. And the price for two seniors was $76 if we didn't use GN.
We love the course design and playability of it.
Great Value
Looking good and had a great round here, I will say I spent some time in the bunkers and the sand is amazing 😊
Huge improvement!
The course has come a long way over the last two years. Love the new carts. Bunkers were in great shape and the overall course was in great shape. Thanks to the new owners for the huge improvement.
Super challenging and super busy
Pace of play was god awful expect a 5-6 hour round on weekends

This course has dramatically turned around in the last 2 years. We enjoy this course everytime we play now.
Average
Took 3 hours to play 7 holes… there was a scramble outing going on and the group in front of us had an entire par 5 hole open. Rangers did nothing to speed up pace of play… guess that’s what you get when an outing is paying big $. The course doesn’t care about the regular golfer that paid to play a normal round of golf.
Most of the tee boxes for the blues are in rough shape as well.
I would call to make sure there isn’t an outing if you plan to go play there.
