Cascades was a little wet, but if you kept it in the fairway it was no problem. Greens could have been a tad faster, but if you were putting down hill & down grain you would be glad they aren't.
Jackson's Granddaddy
Cascades GC is cool. One of the older ones around. They have a short course and a driving range away from the clubhouse.
The course opens you up with two 500+ par 5s. (Both pretty straight, one declines and one inclines.) The par 3s are simple but the longer par 4s is where they'll get you. The traps were clean and crisp and the greens were in a good shape.
The guys are the clubhouse are always helpful. The only beef I have is paying $32.00 on a Monday morning when the course in empty. Drop it to around $26/$27 and you'd see me more often!
Good course though!
Great value
The course was in great shape. I think it’s a great price for the challenge presented. You can tell if the course has been around for a while, because of the large stands of trees, several of which I am on a first name basis with now.
First Time @ Cascades
Very Gorgeous and challenging course. Played from the White Tees. Very long holes to start. Phenomenal landscape with the rolling hills and the wildlife on course. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful course
Overall I love the course. I wasn't sure what to expect but when I was finished with the course. I was definitely in love. Fairways are nice the greens are nice Ace of play it was nice people were friendly. I'll definitely recommend this course to my friends
Great for early season
Played early season and course was in decent shape. Looking forward to playing in summer.
CASCADES
The tee time was delayed due to frost. The starter was a friendly guy but they sent out twosome in-between foursomes making pace of play infuriating. However the course was in good shape and couldn't get a read on the Greens. Will play again.
Decent Course
Overall a very nice course...holes 17&18 are a little gimmicky.
Good challenge from the back tees.
I did find it very interesting that they had rakes in bunkers and no foam insert in the cups...kinda like they were giving the middle finger to any type of modifications during this unprecedented pandemic.
Fun Year
This course brings back wonderful childhood memories of Burroughs Farms In Brighton Mi. A classic layout that will test all of your game. I had a weekday membership this year and enjoyed many rounds on this course. The staff is great.
