Lakes of the North Deer Ru
Always enjoy playing this course. Very well maintained.
Not a bad course if it is close to you
It had almost 5 stars on golfnow so like 2 other course in the area that I played that had similar ratings, I was excited to see if this was the 3rd gem of the week and unfortunately it is OK but not 4-5 stars really. Average place, nice people, setup is not really covid safe as people all over the bar were packed in, all the things you could touch were still on the course such as ball washers and rakes but, one can always just ignore them. I drove 90 mins for all 3 corses this week based on the stars, this one was not worth the drive. For 20-30 mins and an afternoon deal, for a sure!
This is a decent course if you are in the area
I liked this course but, with the 4.5 stars I expected driving 90 mins to play it would be worth the trip and it really is not. If you are close and they have a 30-50 price go for it and it is good. For the same rating and price...assuming some type of mid-weeek golfnow deal, Dunmaglas is a much better choice in this area
Great day
Deer Run is a great course. Just challenging enough to keep it interesting, but not so much that you have to struggle around. Great condition and a friendly staff
Fantastic golf
it is a very nice place to play golf. Every thing about the course was excellent.
Recent 18 Holes at Lakes of the North
Pace was very fast as we were the first ones out in the am. Finished 18 holes (2 women golfers) in under three hours. Only negative - people were allowed to start on hole 10 and we were asked if we would like to play through.....
The First Course
Nice starter course for playing up North. It was nice playing a course with open fairways to begin our golf outing up North. Being in the fairway for the first six holes was a nice change and relaxing start to our golf weekend. In general a nice layout. The only negative we experience were the Deer Flies.
Eating there was a pleasure too - Nice selection for lunch menu and food was delicious - try the Cuban!
Lakes of the North
The staff was very friendly. They had many groups of 2 in front of us. We play pretty fast so we were happy that we were a foursome because we did wait on a couple holes, I would recommend this course.
Hidden gem
Our group of 8 played this course on a Friday morning. We're treated well at the pro shop, bar/restaurant, and on the course. Staff very friendly. Golf course was in good shape, and I thought the front nine had the more scenic holes. A good golf experience
Hidden Gem
This course is missed by many because of the low cost. The back nine views rival most of the high dollar Gaylord area courses. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition!
Nice Layput, Nice greens.
Layout and greens were very nice. Fairways were average and ruff was burnt out. We got behind a pretty slow scramble. We played for 25 dollars. I would play again for 25, but not more.
