One of the best courses I've ever played.
The greens were incredibly smooth and receptive. When you consider the very reasonable price.
Beautiful!
a wonderful course to play. Well taken care of, and beautiful!
Bring your A game
Test every shot in your bag . Not for high handicappers
Like a Northern MI resort course
This course, at times is just like playing resort courses up north..... without that pesky drive. It's a terrific track that has some punishing greens. You really need to focus on your play around the pin.
I love this course... it's about an hour drive from the house and worth it.
I went thru a LOT of golf balls!
golfer friendly golf course
This is a good course for all levels of golfers. Easy to play and yet can challenge the best golfer. Definitely a must play.
Didn't remember it being this nice
Played this course probably 10 years ago and remembered liking it but just OK. It was in excellent condition, had many really pretty holes and the facilities and staff were outstanding. Definitely will play here again even though it was a 1 1/2 hour drive.
Fantastic Course, Not So Fantastic Staff
Played this in the spring and was thoroughly impressed with course conditions, attention to detail of the golf course, and the once GPS. Was a great deall for the "hot time" price. My issue was when we hit the back nine there were now new groups in front of us. Including a 5some of young kids. When we called in to report there were four groups on one hole (one of which was a 5some) the pro shop person's comment was well according to the gps no one's too far behind pace of play. They said they would send a ranger out but never did. We limped in the last 6 holes at a snail pace only to get rained out with two holes to play.
It was a real bummer because it was such a nice track and such a good value to have it tainted by slow play and poor service.
Would think twice before making the hike out there again.
Medalist is one of the best!
First time playing The Medalist this year. It was one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences I've had. The greens were the best I've played in years! Smooth and quick but fair. The fairways were in great shape and a pleasure to hit from. The surprise was the new golf carts. They were very slick. GPS on every hole took all the guess work out of every shot and help speed up play. Each hole had flyovers so you could see the entire hole - I was impressed with the technology. I will definitely return!
beautiful challenge
great deal,we played the back first, this golf course is a really distinct, challenging track.shoot perfect and straight off the tee and you will be ok,if your driver is off you may have trouble.the worst problem we had was 49 degrees and a stiff wind, otherwise a memorable round(left a few in the woods there lol)
Great surprise!
I Played the front nine two weeks ago traveling on way back from work in Chicago. Couldn't wait to come back to play it again. There are about 6 easier holes, 6 medium and 6 hard holes playing from the back. So, the course is fun as well as a great challenge for me. Your tee shots must be good to set up challenging shots to the greens. Pick your tee boxes wisely depending on your handicap. The par threes can be pretty difficult. If you get pars then you've really done something. I've played about 40 of the top 50 courses in Michigan and the Medalist is probably in the top 15 I've played. Can't wait to come back. Top three values I've played. SWilson
Challenging course for average golfer
Need your "A" game to score well but is a very enjoyable course to play
Great Course & Facilities
Course is great! Easy access close to the highway. Course was in great shape for early season. Can be kind of difficult if you spray it off the tee. Great restaurant in the club house with very good prices.
Good test
It is early there were no tee markers as yet. The fairways and greens were in great shape; found a lot of subtle breaks around the hole. The greens ran faster than expected for this time of the year. A good test of golf a course everyone would enjoy playing..
The Medalist
The course was in great shape and requires some precision at times. Blue tee was 73 rating with a slope in the 130 s and that isn't the tips!
great course
very big greens unduiating greens soom tight holes love course!!!
Turkeyville
This is a great course to play the greens are speedy and the conditions of the course is well taken care of
The Best Course between Battle Creek and Lansing
A challenging and enjoyable round of golf. Take time to enjoy the scenery.
Nice course
This is by far the best course in the immediate area as far as difficulty, beauty and management.
Worth the travel
If you are in the Battle Creek area, then this course is worthy of your money. The course is not overly tricky so first time players can score well without prior knowledge of the course. Greens were in fantastic shape.
