West/East at Links of Novi, The

This course is a regular play for me since I’m close to it. However, I won’t pay their ridiculous Summer prime time rates so I only play it on off season or if I can find a deal. Was in really great shape for a late October day at noon for $28! Was cart path only but understandable, as it was a bit muddy and soaked. However the course was in awesome shape for its conditions and very enjoyable. Also they were repainting so they definitely take care of the place and even though no one was really playing, the bartender came out and checked on us as we sat on the patio post round. Always a fan of well taken care of courses.

The South course was a pleasure to play as it is fairly wide-open and very few wooded areas. The East course was more difficult because the fairways were a little more narrow and bordered with trees and fairly hilly at times. All in all it was fun playing and I would like to play the west course instead of the east course the next time.

Caught a hot deal on GN. Course in nice shape! Fast greens made for challenging putts!

Course was in good condition, play moved right along

The the couple behind me left and I kept adding singles because the 4 old guys in front were the slowest group I've ever played behind. The ranger just drove by.

Had the 4 let me play through it would have been a fast round, instead they acted entitled, dropping ball after ball and shooting what looked like 8-10 every hole.

Bad day out.

Nice course conditions though. Fairways and tee boxes and greens all in pretty good shape.

The pace of play did not seem to match up with the length and difficulty of the course. We experienced back ups with open holes in front of us. We questioned the time frame for the East course which was going on 21/2 hours after 7 holes with the ranger who said that was typical for a Saturday. We were allowed to play the South course instead of the West course but encounter 2-3 group back up after about 5 holes . The course was in good shape and the staff accommodating but I felt that the course was more of a glorified executive course that should have played faster 5 hours for 18 holes. The value did not match the experience.

Nice course, well maintained but I played the east and west. Course is not easy a real challenge but great. Staff is the best, friendly, professional and a great asset to The Links of Novi. Thanks everyone for the great time. I'll be back.

I went with my fiancé and our friends who are new to golf and we had a good time! No issues with pace of play and course was in great condition with fairways nice and open. Greens were firm and challenging! Would like to go again!

I paid 21 bucks, so totally worth it...

But, being new still and golfing under a year, my favorite thing to do is hit driver.

The courses I played were south and east.... Tree lined, and not much water. Kind of boring layout but definitely challenging keeping the ball in play. Forced to hit hybrids and irons off the tee. Its the smart play but blah.

I'd play it once more but for the normal cost, not a chance I would go back.

The good:

Greens were in really good shape.

Fairways are well kept as well.

I do love the ice boxes on the carts...

Played when it rained a bit the previous day. Course has bad drainage so standing water everywhere. Cart path only pretty much defeats the purpose of getting a cart. Don't play here unless there's been a dry spell.

Greens were good. Fairways were nice except for the standing water. Every drive stopped cold or plugged due to water.

East course has more than its fair share of mosquitos. Avoid this 9 or bring lots of mosquito repellent.

Noone in front of us and noone behind us. A perfect hot day in July for a fun and challenging round of golf. The course was in pristine condition - fairways and greens

in great shape.
