Interesting layout
Interesting albeit short course. Nice topography and nicely off the beaten path. Will definitely be back!
Just as expected
The course is very affordable, so don't be disappointed that there is no fancy clubhouse or nice tee markers at each hole, etc. The carts are old, no windshields or USB port. . The bunkers are all grass. The course (fairways, greens, rough) was in great condition. It is not the hardest course you'll play, which is what I was looking for with a novice golfer joining me. All in all a great value.

The course had a really cool layout. Wasn’t the easiest of courses, wish there was more sand traps to make it that much harder. You can really tell where they placed the sand, but with that being said the greens and fairways made up for it!! The staff was ok didn’t seem to happy especially with the Lions winning on a Sunday afternoon. But it was a good time! Would go again if it was a little cheaper.
Don’t waste your time on this cow pasture, it’s a very bad course and is always backed up. I won’t play there anymore. Just bad

Horrible golf course
It was backed up for the entire round, when I told the staff all they said was yes it is.
When the cut the grass they left glimpses of grass everywhere. Cart path is very bad, it will bounce you all over the place. There are trenches from there equipment on every hole.
Don’t get sucked in by the price it’s not worth. And they have a tee box on a platform of wood.

This course was in great condition today, I'm glad I came out. There greens were fast and true, my lag putts stopped right next to the hole. My driving has improved, so it made playing three course a lot easier. I would love to play on a league here. The course layout where I play now is terrible. Downing Farms is a great place to improve your overall golf game.
Good course for the price, have golfed it before. It was just way backed up this day so that wasn't fun at all. It's maintained ok, again it's worth the price.

Wasted Day
I keeping hoping they improved but miracles have bypassed this course. Little money invested!
Was able to tee off early only to find 4 teens on the box. One was a girlfriend and was not playing. They took their time as though they had nothing better to do. Took 20 minutes to tee off. Waited on the box for 15 more till they cleared the fairway. Once I got to my ball it took another 15 to play my second. Oh, not to mention that they drove up Next to the green. Next hole not one had teed off. One was actually teeing up the ball for his buddy . I don't know why.
had enough and skipped the hole. Caught another group of teens 2 holes later. same scenario,. 20 yard tee shots into the crap, 10 minute search . Skipped that hole.
Not much good to say. 7 tee box is a joke. Platform turf tee box has seen better days. Tee boxes in general show no maintenance, dead spots in fairways, and overall appearance shows nobody really cares.
Men's bathroom in clubhouse was backed up and unusable. No attempt to clean it up.
Overall, if your a beginner it may be the the place for you if you don't care about conditions or pace. Staff needs to educate younger players about etiquette and check IDs to make sure they indeed are old enough to operate carts. Most courses have An age policy,
Best if the owners would sell and allow developer's to build more million dollar homes and retire to Florida.
Great time!
Family owned operation! The entire family is super friendly, helpful, and supportive…even checking up on us numerous times while on the course. The course is well maintained and beautiful. No sand in the bunkers so they were just deep green hills. Pace of play was great! Amenities were excellent, and the the staff made the experience extra special. Will definitely be returning!!
Nice, easy round!
We were able to get on right before the leagues started. Initially we were behind some young, very slow boys. After the second hole, they let us play through, and it was wide open after that for us. I have to say that doesn’t usually happen there, as it’s a busy place! Made for a great, easy round, though!

Must work here. This course is a joke. There isn't anything that rates a excellent rating.
