Willow Wood Golf Club
About
Located just three miles south of downtown Portland, Willow Wood Golf Club sprawls across acres of rolling countryside laced with meandering creeks and ribbons of mature woodlands. The naturally hilly terrain lent itself perfectly to a challenging championship course. Golfers will encounter a range of ups and downs but the golf course is a manageable 6,200 yards from the back tees. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course will test your skills, requiring creative shot making throughout. Each hole requires a different strategy and presents risk-reward opportunities, you're guaranteed to use every club in your bag. One of Willow Wood Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 eighth. It has a sloped green with bunkers on the left, but a birdie might be a possibility if the wind is on your side.

Great Course, GREATER Value
Located about 30 minutes from Lansing, you won't find a better course for the price. $20 spring and Fall rates, $30 Peak Rate. This course will challenge your shot making and is not a "grip it & rip it" style. Always well manicured with challenging greens and a great chance to score well. Definitely a Feel-Good course.
6 Stars for the Friendliness of Staff. They do an excellent job of leaving you with a feeling of wanting to return again and again. Keep up the good work.
Best course
This is my favorite course in mid michigan. It's beautiful and well taken care of. One of the best courses in the state.
Bargain Course
Wonderful course hidden in rural area. Very playable with opportunities for birdies on first two holes. Well-maintained and very friendly staff. Great course for the $$$.
Great track
Fun track with great hospitality, well worth the value.
Well kept
The course is in very good condition. I played in june and October and the course was equally well taken care of both times. Will play as often as possible in the future.
Beautiful course. Love playing there. One of the best around!
Loud
The motorcycle track next door is very annoying, as is the loudspeaker announcements and music.
Pace of play was poor on the front, but 3 groups let us play through at the turn. Then it was fine.
Great Affordable Course
Course is great. Well kept and a lot of fun. Only complaint would be the sports track next door that can be a little loud on the first couple of holes. It is a little off-putting at first, but it pretty much is gone by hole 3.
I would highly recommend.
Willow Woods Why Not
Very playable course, with excellent staff. Course was watered and green, greens were in good shape.
Hydrated course
I always enjoy golfing here. They have really kept this course very hydrated during this horrible drought we have had this summer. One of the best around this summer.
Real Nice, Right Price
I will play this one again, had big fun, course condition was great.
Hidden Gem
I was not expecting much. Just looking for an inexpensive course to work on my game. What a surprise! Best kept course in the middle of nowhere that I have played in Michigan.
Check it out. It isn't long and it has tons of extremely doglegs and blind shots, but the greens, fairways and tee boxes are immaculate.
Fun course. A bargain.
Great staff
Great value, friendly and helpful staff !
Beautiful, water, woods, flowers ,sand.
I appreciate the on site driving range. Motocross track next door is occasionally noisy but we'll worth the drive to play this course. I'll be back.
Great experience.
Had a wonderful day on the links. Great value for our money. Course was in perfect condition.
Its a challenge
For me, you have to think about every shot. A birdie or a double bogey is possible on most holes. I like the layout and everyone is friendly. It was my daughters first time and she really enjoyed it.
Fun time
This course was very enjoyable. The price was unbeatable, playing 27 holes for 20 dollars. The holes are hard to navigate at times, that is the only negative to playing this course for the first time.
