Willow Wood Golf Club
About
Located just three miles south of downtown Portland, Willow Wood Golf Club sprawls across acres of rolling countryside laced with meandering creeks and ribbons of mature woodlands. The naturally hilly terrain lent itself perfectly to a challenging championship course. Golfers will encounter a range of ups and downs but the golf course is a manageable 6,200 yards from the back tees. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course will test your skills, requiring creative shot making throughout. Each hole requires a different strategy and presents risk-reward opportunities, you're guaranteed to use every club in your bag. One of Willow Wood Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 eighth. It has a sloped green with bunkers on the left, but a birdie might be a possibility if the wind is on your side.

always a pleasure to play a round here.
Very posivite experience. Staff is awesome, friendly and the course is a value and great value. Good for all levels of golfers!!!
Good course at a great price
Course was well-maintained and, aside from some noise from the nearby dirt bike track, was great to play.
Good for the money
The course was in great shape. could not play the last two holes as it started to rain. Would play the course again.
Unbelievable!
For thirteen dollars, I expected a run down place to hit some balls. Instead, I was treated to a gorgeous country club with rolling hills, beautiful landscaping, meticulously kept greens, challenging layouts. Incredibly friendly staff. I have paid 10 times this amount to play a round of golf and not been as impressed. This place is awesome!
This course is a GREAT CHALLENGE
You start with a friendly greeting. Everything is ready for you to go as soon as you check in. The course is in excellent shape and it is extremely challenging. What more could you want?
great shape great value
I really enjoyed this course. It is in excellent condition and the greens were fast but rolled true. Not really sure how to rate the pace of play in that we were first off so as is the case with us normally we get around real quick. The course is fairly short but has some tricky shots.
great course
Beautiful course with just the right amount of challenge.
It's a good day to golf!
Met friends, day started gray, and chilly, but by 10th hole sun the poped out, the temp rose, and the day finished with another great time on a beautiful course, even saw a couple Baltimore Orioles!
Nice course
Nice course to play with your friends. Challenging at times. Great for all levels of golfers
Very playable
Willow Wood is a nice course with some interesting holes. Doglegs and strategic golf hole.
the course is short good for my wife and i
it was all good but it cost me 7.45 for golf now and I only saved 15.00.
Course was in great condition
The greens were good and the grass was plush. It rained after 8 holes so we played the last hole in the rain. We were issued rainchecks for the back nine. Staff was friendly and courteous. They even turned on the Tiger ballgame for us to watch in the clubhouse while we ate.
excellent course
I really like this course. Grass was well maintained, especially for the price. The only thing i didn't like was there is a dirt track right next door and they were having dirt bike/ quad races and it was pretty distracting.
Great staff, great course, well maintained and a challenge every time.
I would recommend this hidden jewel to anyone, of any level of golf play.
Their staff is very friendly, courteous and professional.
My favorite course!
This course is a lot of fun to play. Always well maintained except for the old golfers who don't fix their balls marks.
Wish I could give it 31/2 stars!
Kind of out there, but not way out. Nice club house, great staff. Liked the layout, greens were good overall if the farmers and the kids would repair their ball marks and divots. The18th hole from the back tees, HUNGH? Striped a drive and it was nowhere? Really a strange set up, especially for a first time group. Rate was good on golf now for a Sunday afternoon. Overall we enjoyed ourselves even though: Moto Cross race track right on top of the golf course, really irritating. Kids let out by themselves who were complete hackers and yucking it up with no Marshall on a Sunday. Just some things that were a detriment to the overall experience that probably can't or won't be fixed. Would go back again but during the week when the kids go back to school. OVERALL 3.5 BUT!!!
very beautiful course & very maintained.
Beautiful course set in the country side with rolling hills, tall grasses, and cut into some woods
Great course for the price; has character
Played course many times and it is enjoyable. Have fun!
Worth a drive .... really is.
I really like this course. I live in Lansing (30ish min drive) and still play this place about 5 times a year. Nobody needs to defend this place, its just more people need to come check it out. Above average conditioning and interesting holes (seriously). I have no affiliation at all just throwing that out there.... worth it for sure and VERY walkable....
P.S. First hole fairway runs out at 220 from white tees...put the driver away.
Enjoyable experience!
Always enjoy playing Willow Wood! Good value for the money. Course is in real good shape and has some nice character. I will definitely play it again.
