Sun Bleached Concrete
The course is in terrible condition. Has not been watered and the fairways were yellow straw and hitting of them was like hitting on sun bleached concrete. Tee boxes were beat up. Greens were level but half the grass is dead. Worst I’ve ever seen it.
Ideal course to improve iron game
Have played Hampton many times and enjoyed it every time
It is a short course that rewards accuracy’ and one can play it within 2 hours.
Love the back to back par 3s - 5th and 6th hole.
Also love the tee shot from the back tee on the 8th hole as it challenges you to avoid water on the right and houses and trees on the left.
The course needs attention particularly the greens and I saw them watering it to save it on these 90 plus degree days.
Wouldn’t be bad if it had better keep up
The holes are somewhat challenging but the greens and fairway need a lot more TLC
Hampton
Great course for a local to work on his game. Course is not watered very well but if your expecting a tour quality course dont come here. I dont know why people like complaining about this course. Friendly people working there also.
Nice practice course
Very pleased re initial welcome, etc. Many geese around but staff dud their best to herd them away. I walked the course and enjoyed it
Greens?
Over half of the greens were scorched and straight orange, the ground was hard and there were patches of weeds all throughout the fairway.
Nice little par 3
I like this course. I'm not a great golfer. I like the layout of this course and it offers good practice for my level of player. I have friends that play very well that like to come here to practice as well. Its set back off the main road and pretty peaceful for being in a busy traffic area. The price is right for what you get.
Give this one a try.
Bad course, even for the price
The course is in awful shape, poorly maintained tee boxes, and greens. Bunkers that have had sod laid over it probably since they can’t maintain it. all of that and it surrounds apartments where there are always people walking around the course and even through it who are oblivious to golf (ie: talking loud, walking through fairways, etc)
Usually pretty fair course for short game
Hamptons is a fun course for beginners and people trying to work on shorter clubs. The staff is super friendly. This is a course that is nice to people who don't have the straightest shots. The rough it's too long, and the water is far enough away where you can usually stay out of trouble. The greens aren't the fastest but they are fair, and the pin placements are never impossible. Definitely leave some time, since there are a lot of beginner golfers here so pace of play is a little slower than usual.
opportunity to be good
Due to the release of Covid-19 constraints people flocked to the course both young and old. Thus, the pace of play was very slow. The layout of this course was fun and offered a couple of challenges while overall the fairways to greens were relative easy. The greens and fairways could use a lot of love. I believe things will get better as the season continues. I will be returning to play the course.
Made of good quality and great for small parts
Besides being really wet and sand pits being water hazards still one of my favorite courses to golf
Very nice 9 holes!
Slow course, great practice course! I went on a Monday and enjoyed the beautiful day, walk on the course, and hit some drives near the greens. Very nice course!
Fun family course
Very inexpensive course great for mid to high handicappers or families with children. The course layout is such that even a better player will be somewhat challenged as to shot selection. No hole is longer than about 300 yards and the course does have some water as well as sand bunkers. The pace of play can be very slow for such a short course as many patrons are walking and/or not very experienced golfers. Overall nice place to practice your skills as long as you’re not in a hurry
