An easy course that isn't for beginners.
I'm a new golfer (this was my 6th round), and I decided to play this course for the value. While it wasn't a difficult course, I was playing very conservatively because it is lined with houses and apartments. The greens and general surroundings could use some work, and be aware of the cart paths- I may consider walking next time because of them. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful.
Nice local 9 hole course but expect slow pace
This is a decent local course if you live near the Rochester Hills area. Nice friendly staff, seems like a family business type course. I've played this course at least 4-5 times just because it is just down the street but I would not recommend this course to the better players. It is a nice course for a cheap after work round. Expect delays and extremely slow pace unless you happen to get there when no one is teeing off. The course conditions vary with the weather and are not well kept most of the time.
Good time
Had a great time with my son, but unfortunately had to wait for a foursome ahead of the twosome ahead of us while they hit with their putters off the ninth tee. One of the players in the group of four was an employee of Hampton GC. Other than that, had a nice round. Thanks.
Good for the Price
The course itself is in alright condition and a fairly straightforward course, if not a little tight on the sides. The cart path is the worst I have seen in my brief golfing career.
There are only 9 holes with three par-3's and the remainder par 4's. there are bunkers and water, so not a simple flat sheet of landscape.
Again, for the price, if you are not expecting PGA Tour level landscape, it's good fun with your buddies.
Great course for low price!
Staff was friendly, course was nice, Beautiful location, Cant beat the price! I will definitely come back again!
Thank you!
GolfNow Buy makes this venue a value for the money
The course condition has improved significantly this year. The play is exceedingly slow, but for the money its still an enjoyable experience. If your looking for a challenge then this probably isn't the course for you, but if you are a casual golfer or want to sharpen your game then this is the the place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Tip: If your swing speed is over 80/mph don't bring a driver, you wont need it and you will score better.
Geese are a problem sometimes on this course, so I hope management considers lifelike swan pairs for this course's lakes & ponds.
Geese are absolutely terrified of swans and wont come within a couple thousand yrs of them. It has worked flawlessly for DTWN Rochester parks for the last 2 years. Maybe management will consider it here to control the growing geese population.
Overall, if you aim to sharpen your game, or just meet a friend to relax and have fun, I can recommend the course!
This course is great for beginner.
I played around this course with my son and husband.
My son is ten years old and he is a beginner. I think this course is great for beginners like my son. It's not too difficult and distanse is short, but beautiful and maintained well. I highly recommend this course to beginners.
Great course and not too pricy. This is very good to walk if you have a caddy.
This is 9 holes course. Out of 9 you have 6 holes are Par 4 and other 3 are Par 3. Usually I prefer here to play in the noon time on alternate Friday's.
Great course for the money
If you are looking for a quick 9 holes in the Rochester area it is a good course. Gets a little crowded on the weekend and if you are anything more than a hacker it can be frustrating. Last time i was here there was a foursome in front of us that included someone wearing house shoes. Its a Vargo course so not the best maintained but all in all a good time.
meh.
This is a nine hole course. You can take the turn and play the 9 again for $5! Great place to take beginner gofers, easy course fairly short.
hampton has water , trees and par 3s and 4s.
very nice executive course. Best for practicing your short game, still gives you ample opportunity to use your long clubs.
friendly reception. can get done in 1.5 hrs to 2.0 hrs depending on how busy.
Cheap, Short 9 Hole Course
It looks like they are trying to make some improvements by cutting down some trees and may fix the cart path. I'd like to see them get all of the brush and leaves cleaned up. Doesn't seem like they have enough grounds staff to get all the work done and be able to keep on top of all the upkeep.
Pace of play can be very slow at times
Great Price
Very nice course, just nine holes, fast paced, great for a beginner.
Price is right.
Great for the price!
This is a great little Par 3 course. The overall condition of the course is not in the best shape. The greens need some work and are not very well maintained. For $10 though, you really cannot complain. This course is great for working on your short game while at the same time has some nice Par 4 holes that you can pull out your fairway woods on or driver if you're hitting under 260 yards off the blue/white tees. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating which makes for an enjoyable experience for the price you are paying to play 9 holes.
