Nice layout with the fastest greens I’ve played on all year. You can’t beat the dollar day specials on Fridays if you want a golf bargain. Join their web site and get some excellent last minute deals like a round with cart for $15! I’d play here more often if I lived close. Combine your round with a great burger or breasted chicken at the Brown Bear in town (Shelby) afterwards and you’ve had a great day!
Nice hidden course
Nice course. The layout was good, the fairways were in great shape. The rough was a little “rough” (hardpan). The greens were small, fast and true.
Make sure you’re below the pin otherwise you’re gonna have a bad time, mmmkay.
I would play it again.
Nice lay out.
Ran into one worker who was very nice. Course well kept up.
Greens are the best in the area
I play a number of courses in the area while in the area. This course always has the best greens. They roll true and have plenty of break to make you play it perfect in order to score.
Went at 8 am after a long night of rain, so there was some standing water on the course. The water did not affect our play though. When it hasn't rained hard the night before, the course is in great condition.
Oceana Country Club
Hot day, family of six in front of us with kids made for a great mental challenge the first nine. Course condition and value were no issue.
Best value of any course.
The course is well established with changing but fair greens in great condition. The front 9 is very different than the back nine. You won't find a better course for the money.
The price on Golfnow was irritable! The greens were very difficult but we're in great shape and rolled true. The front 9 was very diverse and fun. The back nine at first look, looked like a lot of in and back but beware every hole had a hidden obstical to overcome. This is a gem of a coarse sitituated among the cherry orchards of Western Michigan
good challenge for duffer
Very challenging for a duffer like myself, but I always like the challenge.
I recommend that you wait till June for the course to dry out Or just call and ask about how wet the course is. it was almost unplayable.
Oceana Golf club
We played in 30 degree weather for half of our round. Despite the poor weather, it was a great time! Lengthy, challenging course.
I would golf here any day for the $10 hot deal! course was in good condition and greens rolled nicely
This course is the best kept secret in all of West MI.
It's by far the best course for the money. If you haven't played Oceana you need to book a tee time.
Course in good shape, recently made some landscaping improvements that look good.
Very challenging course.
The changes in elevation and the sloped greens make this a very challenging course. The first time we played it our scores reflected how tough it can be. The second time we played it our scores came down because we knew what to expect. Great course for anyone looking to test there skills.
Very acceptable course condition.
With all the rain this area has received this year, it was understandable to find the course conditions to be wet in spots. The course was not perfect but very acceptable. We found the greens to be the most challengeing. We enjoyed the round.
