About
Stony Creek is part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system and many locals consider it to be one of its gems. There aren't any residences near the golf course, giving it a secluded feel and providing unhindered views from the elevated tees. The course opened in 1976 but underwent a major renovation that included re-sculpting the bunkers and reconditioning the entire golf course. The layout features several doglegs and a surprising amount of elevation changes. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and landing zones. There are also lakes and ponds that come into play on six holes on the front nine and three on the back. Stony Creek's par-3 17th is the most memorable water hole and the 14th is also notable for its tiny "postage stamp" green.

Still MI Best value!
The best layout, greens, fairway and now staff makes Stoney Creek. 2nd to none. Best price in Golf for value!
The second 9 holes cannot be played due to league play.
I booked 18 holes, but I couldn't play the last 9 holes due to a league game. Fortunately, I received a 9-hole coupon with the help of the staff, so I decided to come back next time. Please check the system to avoid making unreasonable course reservations.
tee boxes are beat up
Greens and fairways were in good condition for this time of year, but the tee boxes are in terrible shape. They used to deduct the park entrance fee off the greens fee, but not anymore, so on top of the $51.00 greens fee and the $3.97 booking fee you have to pay another $10.00.

Challenging course, polite helpful staff. It is now my wife’s favorite golf course!
Course in excellent condition. Obvious that work was done over the winter. New electric carts. Great way to start the season.
