About
Timbers Golf Club is situated just 10 minutes from Frankenbluth in Vassar, a town that is known for its great shopping. Though you might look at the 133-slope rating and pass it off as a "resort course," it would be a mistake to underestimate this golf course. It starts with a challenging front nine that features tight fairways and tricky doglegs. There are also several marshes scattered through and water comes into play on seven holes. At 3,141 yards, Timbers' front nine will put your short and mid-iron skills to the test while the back nine is a little longer at 3,454 yards. There are considerably more sand bunkers on the back. Be sure to build up your score on the par 3s and par 4s because the tough par 5s are sure to swallow a few shots.

New owners
We are the new owners and started to take over Monday October 27,2025. We will have a full kitchen soon, one simulator for winter leagues and a friendly staff. Please give us a try in 2026.
Great day at Timbers!
Nice course... The staff is top-notch. Special thanks to Brent... my autistic adult son rides along with me when I golf, Brent was very accommodating to our needs, appreciated his time and compassion.
Closed clubhouse at 6pm
Went to get a drink at the turn and the clubhouse was closed at 6 pm on a Saturday very disappointed played this course 4 times this summer never again.
Hot deal!
For a hot deal at 7 am on Golf Now id play here 4 days a week honestly. You can really run through the bag. Ample pace of play allows you to explore multi shots, shapes, ect. Sprinklers were running on back nine at about 8 am which gave me a damp fairway perfect for an added obstacle to play through. Fairways are always in great shape, greens were being cut during the round for some added difficulty.
Peaceful
Had a nice and relaxing round of golf for a change the pace was good and staff was friendly, very nice course I will definitely be back ! ⛳️
Timber
The course was well manicured and player friendly. It is designed for great shot making. One is proud to get to the green without getting in trouble.

A great place to plat a round greens are FAST which I prefer.
Beautiful course but wet
The area has had a lot of rain so the back 9 holes were wet.
Fantastic Track
Played here many times. Always appreciate the layout and variety of different holes. Bunkers need some love, but that is the only issue. Greens were soft and receptive, but still quick.
Timbers
Course was in good shape however they got a lot of rain the night before and it was cart. Path only which was fine. It gives you the feeling of being up north. Look forward to play it again!
Great Value
Great Value and the course was in excellent shape. Not to mention the golf carts are new with digital screens for course layout.
Fast Greens
Great course good value make sure you bring all your shots because this course is a ball striking course it’s long but fair and the greens were amazing.
