About
Timbers Golf Club is situated just 10 minutes from Frankenbluth in Vassar, a town that is known for its great shopping. Though you might look at the 133-slope rating and pass it off as a "resort course," it would be a mistake to underestimate this golf course. It starts with a challenging front nine that features tight fairways and tricky doglegs. There are also several marshes scattered through and water comes into play on seven holes. At 3,141 yards, Timbers' front nine will put your short and mid-iron skills to the test while the back nine is a little longer at 3,454 yards. There are considerably more sand bunkers on the back. Be sure to build up your score on the par 3s and par 4s because the tough par 5s are sure to swallow a few shots.

Fairways were a little soggy(90 degrees play) because of AM rain. Tee box, fairways, and greens were in good conditions. Enjoyed the layout of the course.
Nice place.
Ranger came out on the 15th hole to tell us his rules. We played a 5 man scramble and they don't allow but since we already played 14 he would let us finish. He did nothing about the pace of play with the twosome we caught up to playing multiple balls with nobody in front of them.

Course is in great shape, a lot of roll and the greens are also in great shape.

We live 90 minutes away but playing here is a treat. Very scenic

A very nice course after getting beat up at The Fortress. Greens were nice. Layout was good. Great variety. Would play again.
Great Value and awesome views
The course is great and starters all friendly. Pace of play was very slow and there weren't many people out there. We got stuck behind a larger group and never saw one of the starters on the back 9 to ask them to speed up a little. We are just average players but it isn't fun to wait at every single hole on a non busy day. Still though we will be back.
Timbers
Course layout is tough, after a very hard rain the day before made it just a bit more challenging . Cart path only didn’t help my ciatica.
Good course
Good greens, fun layout unique holes for a few. Fairways in great condition. Good green layouts. Played on a sat at 11:30am in middle July with good hot deal price.
Would definitely go again!
Tried to make me play the front twice because of their mistake.
I made the turn and ran into a lg starting, they said hey lgs are starting and kicked me off the tee box. I went into the clubhouse and the kid working was rude with no social skills, I asked for a rain check and he said all I can do is let you play the front again, very ignorant, was a frequent player there, I will not being going back.
This ones interesting
The golf course is in amazing shape. The lay out is great if you like target golf and the northern michigan feel. Saw a bunch of wildlife. The greens were rolling fairly quick and true. The drink was strong. The hot dog was great. Carts were good. Young man in the golf shop was nice. Woman behind the bar was as friendly as can be. I know the place is for sale but why was there was no one else playing…or at least what felt like it. The parking lot was almost empty upon arrival and was pretty much the same when i left. The course is great! I just hope people start playing it!
