The Timbers Golf Course
About
Timbers Golf Club is situated just 10 minutes from Frankenbluth in Vassar, a town that is known for its great shopping. Though you might look at the 133-slope rating and pass it off as a "resort course," it would be a mistake to underestimate this golf course. It starts with a challenging front nine that features tight fairways and tricky doglegs. There are also several marshes scattered through and water comes into play on seven holes. At 3,141 yards, Timbers' front nine will put your short and mid-iron skills to the test while the back nine is a little longer at 3,454 yards. There are considerably more sand bunkers on the back. Be sure to build up your score on the par 3s and par 4s because the tough par 5s are sure to swallow a few shots.

Nice Woods Course
Nice course layout, tee boxes and fairways in good condition. Greens run good and play true. Good course for a good value!
Beautiful course
Nestled in the woods and wildlife, challenging for an intermediate player. Greens well kept, staff very friendly. One of our favorite courses to play!
Beautiful course nestled in the woods
Beautiful course nestled in the woods, variety of wildlife can be seen. Moderately challenged holes, greens are in good condition.
Fun Course
Fun course to play. Has an up north feel while being in our back yard.
Nice course nestled in the woods
Love the scenery at this course, greens are pretty well maintained. Pace of play was a little slow, they were packed. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Timbers Review
Very good course. Challenging with narrow fairways. Being late in the season. putting greens were covered in leaves and made this more difficult to maneuver. No drink cart but enjoyed.
Up nort feel
Great course. Staff is very friendly and helpful for first time players, gave me a quick walkthrough before tee off so I knew what to look out for/where to go. Lot of great shot placement holes where u can lay it up perfect or try to rip over a corner to try and gain some strokes back. Well maintained with only a few dry spots here and there. Will definitely be back
Great Stop To/From Northern MI
Very well-maintained course. First three holes are a small loop by the clubhouse and are very open. Hole four goes into the woods and definitely tightens up a bit, but not as much as the ranger warned us about. Very different from 1-3 though. It was about 85 and sunny so made for a long day. The end of the back 9 doesn't have a ton of shade and goes back adjacent to a neighborhood so some good scenery. Greens rolled true and no areas that needed work. Pleasant change from the metro-Detroit courses getting a ton of play. I highly recommend the course and it's 15 minutes off of I-75 near Frankenmuth.
