Great course
Really well laid out course. Only one hole is target golf but the view is well worth it. I am a 47 HCP. So, I play GOLD tees. My partner booms off the tees 275 to 300. The placement of the gold tees made it fun for both of us. No fun when you are hitting 5 on a par 4 and you still have not reach the green. Greens were world class.
What happened?
I normally play here a couple of times a year and this was my first time in 2025. The course conditions have gone downhill drastically. Several areas on the greens and fairways were burnt out. There were weeds wherever there was grass, and bird droppings on the green that were clearly more than a day old. The bunkers had almost sand in them, although what was in there was good sand. This has always been a well-maintained course but the conditions were among the worst I've seen in metro Detroit in the last few years. I'll be watching reviews to see if it's worth going back.
Took 5 hours to play 18 holes
Overpriced
Was behind 6 teenagers filming each other who apparently worked there. Was told they would kick us off the course and “this was there course” for telling them to hurry up and get the off the green when they finished the hole.
Will never return
I was a Bay Pointe Truther
This used to be my favorite course, but not any more. They don’t have a starter and we’re having people start on 10. Skipped first hole and moved quick, but when made turn multiple foursomes were going off 1. The pin placement on 2 was next to a Large cut out on green. This course has really fallen off and it’s sad.
First time. Possibly a next time
Cartpath only because it rained so much the day before, therefore, virtually no roll. Not a bad layout - 5/10. Had the fairways not had so many puddles, I may have rated it slightly higher. Long course for women, tho, especially when it's wet.
Classic muni
Bad golfers, slow play, no starter, no water fountain, no water on the course, dining room/bar is not in use, outside grill was closed because someone was on vacation. Halfway decent grass, but boring layout and greens. Would pay like $30 to play here, no more.
Great surroundings
The course was an older course but in good shape. The cart paths were extremely bumpy and in need of repair. Fairways and greens in good shape. Only one restroom on the course which makes it tough for ladies.
A bunch of water which adds a challenge. Only two tees for men.
For the price I would play again.
Great track!
This course is one of my new favorites in metro Detroit. It’s challenging due to the presence of water on most holes, but great for progression and still playable for mid handicap golfers. Greens and fairways are in great shape. The only downside for me is that you can’t hit driver off the driving range, but not such a big deal.
Bay Pointe Golf
Really nice course. Enjoyed the golf but wish they could improve the cart paths. Noticeably uncomfortable ride. Otherwise the course was amazing!!!
Very good shape for April
The course was in very good shape for April. Greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play was good
