Very Wet
The greens are better than I have ever seen them, but some fairways had standing water. Quality of fairways were below average and cart paths were quite poor.
Some nice holes some terrible holes
The rough of the course is so thick and soft, that you can hardly find a golf ball. The fairways are fairly narrow. Three holes have large trees, right in the middle of the fairway where you would hit the ball from the Teebox. Some very nice par threes. I would not travel far to play this course.
When we checked in we were not told that a golf outing was happening at the same time that we played. There was no ranger on the course. When we started, there was one man ahead of us. A few holes later there were two foursomes ahead of us. Play was very slow after that. Group was very loud, beer cans overflowing from the trash cans. At least three times, we were almost hit by stray balls. Absolutely no markers to indicate yardage distance, except when teeing off. When we complained to the clubhouse afterwards, we got no sympathy and she said "you got your round in didn't you".
9 holes closed, didn’t say on TeeOff!!! Gave us rain checks
Played here couple times once w grandson
Open spray and cheap
Got here thurs 9/7/23 had sand on greens 9 open
Nice older lady gave us rain check

Staff was the most friendly ever encountered!! Great guy!! Course was playable, goofy layout but fun!! Thank you 🙏
Playing Course
Greens and Fairways are in good condition. They could use a few markers on the course to show you the way to some of the holes. Examples number 10, had a hard time finding the tea off box. Overall a great value for the money.
Good for quick and cheap round.
Always the cheapest rate in the area. Nice course to go when camping or visiting Michigan Adventure because of close proximity. Course condition average but friendly staff.
Tight course, nothing remarkable
Decided to try Bent Pines after hearing it was such a great value Paid $30 for 18 and a cart on a Saturday afternoon, definitely one of the cheaper places to play in the greater Grand Rapids area.
It’s a relatively flat, but tight course with two sets of tee boxes.- white and red. The course layout booklet came in handy as there are no hole layout diagrams at the tee boxes. As for the course condition, the greens were very nice, most of the fairways and tee boxes were ok, there were a couple of tee boxes that were really bad.
My biggest issues with the course is the layout, it’s tight and the holes are very close to one another. The course wasn’t packed, but it seemed like there were always other golfers nearby so you had to wait before hitting shots for obvious safety reasons. Many tee boxes are too close to other greens and there’s very little protection between them from errant shots.
Probably won’t be playing this course again. While the greens fees were very reasonable, overall it was just a boring course (slow play didn’t help). Seeing as it was a 50-minute drive to get there, I’d rather pay a bit more to play a better layout.
Great course great price
I love how affordable this course is and for the price is very nice. The range could use a little help, but at least they have one!
Love the course just watch for crossing balls
Love the course, well maintained, friendly staff, but not a fan of having holes running the same direction alongside eachother, was almost hit a few times memorial day morning, and it wasnt even busy yet
Short and tight
The course is in great condition, with the exception with one or two tee boxes. Course is pretty interesting just 5900 yards and some holes are pretty tight together.
Wouldn’t play again
Disappointing. In all fairness, we should have looked closer at the course’s layout. Very boring. All 18 holes just keep going back and forth from one another. You can look across and see play all around you. And not just on your 9. Also strange as someone else mentioned is the lawn maintenance. Trying to tee off on one hole, the guy on the lawnmower just kept going back and forth right in front of us. My husband did still tee off. As I kept waiting to tee off, he then actually got off his mower to ask if my husband’s was the one in front of his mower. When we said yes, he politely asked if we minded him moving it so he could continue mowing right there. Very bizarre. Then up by the hole, another person was moving circulating the green. On other holes, the first person would keep mowing back and forth right next to the fairway. Again, bizarre. Even if it was free to play here, we wouldn’t return.
