Pines Golf Course, The
About
The Pines Golf Club sits just a few minutes south of Grand Rapids in Wyoming. The 18-hole layout is routed through stands of mature trees. The terrain is mostly flat, which makes it a great golf course to walk, but there are a few subtle contours throughout that can be tricky. It's a straightforward course that is player friendly enough for even beginners to approach with confidence. There are a few slight doglegs but nothing too formidable. There is only one water hazard that comes into play, but it still manages to add a lot of character. The views spanning across Lake Isabella are almost enough of a reason to play the golf course. The Pines' 15th hole has an especially memorable view of the lake. Another benefit of the golf course is that it provides a more affordable round than other Mt. Pleasant-area courses.

Great for beginners.
Course was well maintained. Fairways and greens pristine. Love the flowers around the ladies tee boxes, my daughter loved them. Easy course for beginners.
A user friendly course
I played on a busy day but a good pace was maintained. the course is well maintained. Several fairways are close to local housing or roads. There are a few doglegs where those on the green cannot be seen from the tee box.
No ponds or water, greens are fairly flat on the front 9, more slope on the back
I enjoyed playing this course & got a super good deal. Staff was hoober friendly & worked w/ us, as we added a player when we arrived @ the clubhouse. Definitely a well orgainzed course & well worth the $. I would def. recommend this course for intermediate golfers. May be too busy for new players. Experienced players may find it a bit lackluster. Overall, a great experience. Def. would play again.
Good Shape
The course was in excellent condition, greens were slower than most courses. The tee boxes needed attention here and there, but overall one of the best courses for the money.
This course is a good mid level course
This course has challenges and some easy layouts. It is fun and some of the holes are a little too close together
Good course for grinders
If your not a pro, I recommend "the Pines" the front is mostly open but has a few blind tee shots to contend with. The greens can be tough several are crowned or titled towards the fairway. The back has 3 par 3s that are not easy. One downhill blind, one uphill blind and the third has a very big tree in a very bad spot, it also has the most challenging green on the course. I love the 16th hole with its green carved out of the side of a hill and 17s tee shot has gotten more difficult with tree growth over the years. With a Golfnow price I love to play this course.
The greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Lots of golfers were out due to the beautiful day. Appreciated the flowers planted on tee boxes
The front nine is pretty straight but greens are mounded to make putting a little challenging. The back nine has narrower fairways and the holes are a little more challenging. Enjoyed the number of trees that give the course its name.
Great course!
The course was well maintained and the clubhouse staff and tee coordinator were very friendly.
Rolling well and a fun atmosphere
Greens, tees, fairways and rough was all in great shape and the perfect length for our round on Friday afternoon. The course is so fun to play when you have a good group of golfers out there. Many holes run side-by-side so expect to have some golfers playing from your fairway but when it's good times golfers man is it fun. Don't want the pressure of hitting while someone is watching you...then hit it straight cause it's going to happen here.
Always like to play this course with a fun group of golfers and even the groups behind and in front of us were having a good time. Good job by The Pines staff.
Great greens
If you are ready for great greens that you have to read and a well managed course then the pines is just for you! I loved each hole and each one had its own challenge. Whether it be the water on the back nine or the doglegs in the front, this course is great for any player!
Nice
Shorter course but not necessarily easy. Front 9 a bit more open back 9 tighter. I enjoyed my round. Course management and shot selection important. Well maintained friendly staff.
Fun little course.
It is a short track but it has some pretty interesting holes. The back nine definitely has more character to it. The course was in good shape throughout. The greens are deceptively sloped and made for some challenging putts. Overall a fun round of golf.
The course has a lot of interesting holes, very affordable.
The course is short but well maintained, enjoyable for most everyone.
Family friendly course
Classic grip and rip course. Not much trouble anywhere on the course. Several drivable par 4's and all three par 5's are reachable in two. Great course for families with kids as it is a short track with easy greens. Overall, course is in excellent condition and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this course.
Great course for mid handicapper and low handicapper working on short game
Always a fun experience on this will maintained course. Wonderful value.
Nice layout
This is a shorter course, but fun to play! A lot of hills & great views. A fun little course.
Well maintained, playable course for beginners or high handicap
The course was an enjoyable way to open the 2013 Michigan Golf season. The weather was cold (40) with a little wind...good way to start golfing from the 4-5 month winter layoff. Courteous, friendly staff and a nicely maintained relatively easy course...enjoyed the day immensley...took my 18 year old grandson who is a very good athlete but very inexperienced golfer...he loved it!!!!!
This course was in very good condition
very nice course for woman, or man. the fairways were in great shape along with the greens.
