Always a great day!
Love this 27-hole facility, driving range with practice bunker is nice. The 3 nines have rolling hills, undulating fairways, are always challenging, especially when the wind is up and it generally is. The clubhouse/pro shop is basic and small but effective. The course conditions are always good as are the greens. Carts have small, basic GPS screens which come in handy on blind shots but I rely on my Bushnell rangefinder for most shots anyway.
Always enjoyable and their prices are the best around compared to other area courses. Well worth the drive.
Always a very nice round!
Albion Ridges is always a very enjoyable round, regardless of what 9’s you play. Well kept with lots of undulations and challenging throughout while still very playable. When I’m in the area (within an hour or so) I always make a point of playing it! Well worth it, the staff is great and you’ll never get a better value!
Albion Ridges is a 27-hole facility. I was able to play the Granite then Rock combination, but wasn’t able to get out on the Boulder 9.
Things I liked:
- For the most part, you can hit your drives where you want here… the course is open.
- Tees, fairways, greens, and bunkers were all in good condition.
Things I did not like:
- Didn’t feel like there was much character/personality to the course. No holes were memorable.
- Pace was awful, and no starter/ranger to manage that. The course boasts a “Fast Pace of Play” online, but my round took 4.5 hours.
- Given my playing partners had the same experience, the GPS in the carts seems to be off (longer) than the actual yardage. Take about 10 yards off the cart GPS system.
Things important to me:
- Rates are posted on the course website.
- Took a cart for this round, but this course is walkable.
- I don’t recall if there were water coolers out on the course.
- A generic, plastic poker chip for a branded ball marker… my least favorite.
Quite scenic
Always enjoy playing here.
Outstanding staff!
Nice greens, nice tee boxes
(no leaves in the Fall)
Picturesque
Very nice scenery.
Course is always in very nice shape.
Reminded me of NE England
Links with water, rolling countryside, good conditions, true playing greens. We played Boulder/Granite.
Enjoyed it, played in a two-ball, cart, Friday afternoon, each 9 in 102 minutes, so less than 4 hours.
Clean
Love playing here, greens are always fresh and they have a lot of golf holes that make you smirk when you get on the tee box.
