Superb design and worth the trip!
I live in the Twin Cities, so this was my first time traveling to play this course, and I had a blast! The design was magnificent. I feel like I used every club and shot in my bag, which was a welcome surprise.
The course features include dog-legs, both left and right, numerous risk-reward shots, placement shots, elevation changes, ponds, wetlands, and a great outdoors vibe.
The owner spoke with me, and he genuinely cared about my feedback to identify potential areas for improvement. It was nice to actually talk with an owner who was present, cared, and truly has the best interest of the players in mind.
Great course, I highly recommend it, and will definitely return to play it again!
Good golf
As always we enjoy golfing Whispering Pines. The course conditions are almost perfect every time we golf. Pace of play is great. Carts with GPS are fantastic to know distances.
Nice short course
Interesting holes, great value. Course in great shape, fast true greens.
This is a fun, challenging course. Nice elevation changes and great layout.
Mark is a wonderful host. Great equipment, newer carts with gps. He keeps the course in great condition. Clearing leaves and acorns as best as possible as fall arrives. Worth the hour drive, I would play this course every week if I lived closer to it.

Course is in very nice shape , well mowed and nice greens !
Impressive ! Staff was very friendly and made us a great pizza after the round at the bar ! Very fun day and round of golf !
Good Bones
I enjoyed my round and played well. I had to use every single club in my bag which usually doesn’t happen. Finished my round in 3 hours on a weekday early afternoon tee time.
Pros:
1. layout was challenging and made you think about how to attack each hole.
2. Hot deal price and pace of play was great.
3. Cart GPS was better than most courses in the area and was spot on with yardages.
4. Staff was friendly and helpful for a first time player at this course.
5. Greens rolled true and multiple holes had tiered greens.
Cons:
1. Course needs some water and general maintenance. Potholes on cart path and right after the path ends. Weeds growing on tee boxes. Greens were firm. Some bunkers had little to no sand.
2. Holes need to be cut more frequently. I saw damage around the cup on multiple holes.
3. Need more signs along the cart path to assure golfers they know where they are going.
Overall, i would play this course again for the right price. Keep up the maintenance on this course and you will have a hidden gem.
Son’s birthday golf time
Really enjoyed this golf course, the layout and everything about it. From Montana visiting son’s family, so was enjoyable family time and celebrate son’s birthday.
