Golf at the Legacy

My son and I played behind some club members and it was a terrible experience, the foursome would not let us play through we caught up to them after the second hole. No etiquette at all. We saw Marshall at the start and never again. Never go back.

Did an day trip, 1 hour drive, from the Twin Cities to play this course for the first time. Absolutely loved the layout. Being a single digit handicapper I loved the variety and challenge, but still allowed some bailout areas on most holes. Good flow of gentle terrain, with a mix of prairie, woods, and hazards. Mostly a links style course with a few few pockets of woods. Greens were really good condition that rolled fast. Course was overall in good shape. New club house, golf performance facility, and cart canopy made this look modern. Will definitely be back.

I have never had a bad experience at this course. I consider it to be a great value. Conditions are always good and usually the greens are some of the best I play all summer. The staff and the clubhouse food and drinks are way above average. Always a pleasure to make the drive for this course.

It was a great day to hit the course and the Legacy didn't disappoint. The course was in great conditions and packed from tee to green but the pace of play moved right along. My buddy and I walked the course today and it took us 4 hours to play 18. It's a great course if your looking to fine tune your game allows you to have a second shot on most holes if you miss the fairway. It's a good opportunity to work on your iron game as you don't need to be long off the tees. A couple par 4s can be reached in one with a good tee shot and the par 5s you can reach two of them in 2 with again a good tee shot. Will be back to play again this year!

First time out this year and I was hitting a little to the right. Very forgiving in that aspect, if you hit left, not as much. Open layout, bunkers placed in spots that made it challenging. Nice walking course, not too hilly.

The greens here are always in great shape! That should be the goal of every course. Nice job.

We have played here several times a year, always worth the drive. I feel that bang for your buck, this course is #1. The course was in excellent condition again today, fast, smooth greens. Loved it.

Playing The Legacy is a very enjoyable experience. It's challenging for better players and reasonably forgiving for higher handicappers. It's by no means flat, but many people do seem to walk.

The staff is always friendly and willing to help when asked. The driving range is usually available and the practice putting green in great shape. For its size, the club house offers a good selection of your favorite beverages and the food is more than reasonable. Highly recommended.

Although not a long course the green undulation makes up for it. The greens are always in great condition and the fairways were great also. A must play if you are in the area.

My uncle and I golfed this course for the first time using the Golf Now App. The whole experience was great. From the time we arrived at the course, everyone was friendly including including other golfers and entire staff. Love the location of the course. I am from Nebraska so I felt right at home as the course is very similar to the ones I play on at home.

As far as the course goes, the course I would say is excellent! I was extremely pleased with the layout, and the length of the course. Overall the course is in great condition from tea boxes to fairways although there were a few greens that had patches of dried out area. But nothing too major. Clubhouse is nice and clean the staff are all very friendly and it looks like they have a great grill For a burger and fries. Although I did not try one I see a lot of people eating them. So just an overall great experience if you’re looking for a great place to golf and a good experience definitely recommend this course

Couldn’t ask for a better day and course was in really nice shape. This place has some tough greens so they seemed a lot slower than they looked. Grass around green was really tick if you were left or right. Really good test will play again.

I’ play this course a couple of times a year and for the past 3 years the course conditions have been declining. While the winter can be a factor other courses face the same problems. Yet, this course what I’ve experience has done very little to improve the conditions. The staff is friendly but separate issue from the course. I hope they make improvements very soon -

After quite a bit of rain, the course was still in good shape. Friendly and positive front desk in clubhouse. beautiful sunshine, greens in good shape.

It’s always a treat to drive to Faribault and play this great golf course. Excellent staff makes sure that you are taken care of. I love the layout beautiful fairways and excellent fast greens. I played the old nine hole course growing up and what the ground crew have done is simply amazing. By far one of the best golf courses in southern Mn.

One of my favorite south metro area golf courses. Always in good shape and playable holes makes for an enjoyable day. Play it more often now that it's part of the Public Country Club program. Try it, you'll like it.
