Has a lot of promise
My understanding is that the course has new ownership and they are working g hard to improve the place. Sadly now the clubhouse needs to be at least cleaned up while they are waiting to build a new one. Course was in OK shape, but a few greens were tough. Beatles theme seemed weird. Will try again someday.
Hidden Jem
I drive 40 minutes and still play Montgomery 10 times a season. Fun Beatles theme and and a great layout and seldom busy!
Fun and Beautiful!
Beautiful day and Beautiful course. One of the highlight days of last summer! Looking forward to playing there again.
Going Downhill
The greens have multiple dead spots and do not roll true. The bunkers are rarely raked. The greens are not cut often and the pin placements are the same for at least a week at a time. The course has deteriorated in the last couple of years and isn't the same as it was. It is unfortunate because this is a great Joel Goldstrand design.
Great Goldstrand course!
Excellent greens, challenging layout, uses a variety of shots, places accuracy above length.
Nice Course
Fairways and greens in good shape, the tees are a bit thin. Pace of play nothing short of awesome. 3.2 hours on a Friday afternoon. A good challenge for all.
A new surprise
First time on this course and a bit of a drive but thoroughly enjoyed. I am senior golfer so the distances were good, terrific greens and enough open fairways to relax and have fun. Will be back.
Nice course, great value
Certainly worth the drive. Stop in at the Micro brewery down the road on your way home.
Rained out
The owner of the golf courses a really nice guy we only played like three holes and we got rained out and then we got a refund for two $20 hot deals if you haven’t played Montgomery golf course you should come down and play it’s a hidden gem
Golf outing
Beautiful course with some challenging holes. Play smart and shouldn't have any difficulty playing the holes.
Fun course.
The course was in great shape greens were a little slow but we’ve got a lot of rain lately the only thing negative about this course was a little out of five sun in front of us and they wouldn’t let us play through.
Impressed
I’ve been playing this course for about 10 years and never seen it in better shape!
Montgomery National
Very nice course conditions. Great greens, tees, and fairways. Thick rough, and a nice touch; a collar cut around the greens. No-frills clubhouse, but no matter. The golf was great!
Excellent condition
Always enjoy playing this course. Lots of variety, great condition.
Quality Course outside city!
This course was in great shape given our late snow storms in Mid April. The greens were just average speed but rolled very true with hardly a blemish on them. The layout had a nice mix of doglegs going both left and right and I was impressed with the pace of play. I was a single playing behind a single behind a threesome and played in three hours. I used a Hot Deal and paid $18.46 with cart which for the money more than made up for the 30 minute drive to get there. The staff was friendly and I will definitely go back.
