Little Traverse Bay Golf Club is one of the courses that put the Harbor Springs area of northern Michigan on the map as one of the state's most popular golfing destinations. The scenic location offers panoramic views with the ability on clear days to see all the way to Little Traverse Bay on several holes. The rolling terrain provides elevated tees and green complexes that will test your skills picking the proper club. You'll find that the uphill approaches often need one or two extra clubs. Different types of bunkers are strategically placed throughout with some that will give you fairly easy recoveries while others are high-lipped and consequently more punishing. There are some stunning holes thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, especially on the back nine where the landscape is even more undulating.

most beautiful golf course I have ever played.
most beautiful golf course I have ever played in my life
The course has lots of great features
Great features, great staff, courteous, breathtaking views, lots of hills and changes in elevation! Great challenge!
Best greens in the mid-west
Little Traverse Bay is cut through the trees overlooking Lake Michigan. What makes this course special is the greens. They are perfect. Rarely will you find a ball mark that one of the customers hasn't fixed. They typically run about 10. They putt true and are very consistent from hole to hole. The layout is challenging but fair. Every trip I make to the area I make it a point to play a round here.
Beautiful course, good price
Clubhouse staff was rude but bag staff was great. Course in great shape. Great views.
The staff was instructed to treat us differently then a person that paid full price.
We arrived at the course 1/2 hour early, no one was teeing off, we asked if we could go ahead and go - they said NO - no reason - just no. When we got to the starter he explained that they treat people that pay full price better........ that is totally wrong, if we were shoppers and tried to save some money - what is wrong with that.
Totally disappointing ..... that they though we were different then any other customer.

Awesome Course. Great shape! Tough Greens! Great Views of Northern Michigan!
One of the best in northern Michigan
The course was in amazing shape. The staff were all very friendly. The greens were quick and very challenging. Overall it is a tough test.
Great course to play. The views on course are the GREATEST
One of my favorite places to play. However this last trip was VERY SLOW play. No one was on the course to move MUCH slower groups along. Played the front 9 in 2hrs, back 9 was exceeding 3hrs. Overall, this is still the place to go and play. Can't beat the views and the staff is the BEST on all efforts.
Always a great experience.
All the holes are challenging but fair, except 18--which is so difficult an uphill challenge it is a source of many golf stories. The fabulous views make up for the two-hills 18th hole.
Beautiful scenery and fun lay-out
The course has some steep terrain but it is fun to play. The course and the greens were in good condition. We stopped playing after nine holes because pace of play came to a screeching halt at number seven. When we drove up to the tenth green there were two other groups waiting to tee off.
The weather had been cold prior to our outing so there may have been more play than normal that day..
Great people work here. Appreciate the starters tips.
The restaurant and staff are excellent.
beautiful course, great vistas, but way too difficult for the average player
This course was well maintained but way too difficult for the average 95-105 scoring player. Most of the staff went out of their way to be accommodating. The views were outstanding, very slow to play. The course slope rating was listed way too low; I have played many courses that were rated higher and yet had much lower sloping. Greens were fast, but we were warned about them so at least we can't say we weren't aware of it.
Great views
Great value and views, The staff was friendly and had a great experience.
Challenging greens
The course was in great shape, but we found the greens difficult to putt. They are large greens with lots of humps and the ball breaks way more than it appears. The elevation changes on a few holes make club selection difficult.
Overall a very enjoyable, but at times frustrating course to play.
Perfect Condition
Played on a Sunday afternoon. No one in front of us, and no one behind us. Course was in perfect condition, just beautiful. Scenery is top notch, elevation change is fantastic, challenging enough that you must make shots. For the money, this is a hidden diamond. Shhhh, don't tell anyone about this place, would love to have the course all to myself again!
