This was our first time there on a windy, cool and wet day. Despite those conditions, the course was a noce challenge and we enjoyed it. We will be back.
Great afternoon of golf
We always enjoy this course. This was the first time since Covid that we were actually paid up with 2 others, but we had a great time with the other 2. We thought that we might get backed up with 3 foursomes in a row ( some walking), but never had to wait after the 1st hole. Course was in great shape..good mix of holes. Will be back!
Love to Golf but Disappointed
I booked a tee-time for 4 of us to golf only to find out within 30 minutes of booking the tee-time that 2 guys were exposed to the Covid-19 and couldn't make it, so I cancelled and re-booked for 2 golfers. I then attempted to call Golf Now numerous (10) times to explain the situation and never could talk to a person as their system didn't allow it. I was then charged for 4 golfers even though the course covered the other 2 spots in our 4-some. How the heck does that work? Just looking to get a credit (an exception I realize but fair under the circumstances) for a future outing which I think is fair based on the Golf Now rules on Hot Deals. Please contact me!
Awesome Atmosphere, People, and Couse
The course is always in great shape and the greens run true. Great staff, friendly people, and excellent value! Highly recommend!
Course in Great Shape
Always enjoy this course. Was in great shape. Pace was good. Staff was friendly. We did call golf now ahead of time because when we booked the hot deal it said walking. We always have had cart included. Golf now double checked with the course and they included the cart. It had been listed walking due to Covid, but carts were now available. Great follow through by both golf now and the course. Thanks for a great round.
Quality greens
Pretty smooth greens. Nice tight grass on fairways and tee boxes. Didnt hit any bunker shots cant comment on bunkers. Good mix of easy and challenging holes.
Monticello Country Club
The best greens I've played on all year. Really fast and rolls nice. Monticello has always had nice greens, however the rest of the course could use just some minor improvements, like mowing the rough a little more often, and not have muddy cart paths. If they put in tar, it would improve the course a lot. The 1st hole had grass clumps all around the green, could do a tidy job of mowing.
Good course, terrible staff
The course wss in good shape despite lots of rain recently. However golf staff from any course we get it, you hate golf booking apps. Stop asking how much I paid and if you dislike then so much don't be a part of them. I'm tired of rude staff, such and Monticello was, either berating me over using golfnow or being horribly rude and non accommodating.
Every single time I show up it's nothing but rude staff as soon as they see I booked and paid online.
Good forbid I look out for my best interest and my own pocket book.
Monticello GC
Reasonable price and the course was in good condition. The pace of play was a little slow but not unusually so for a Friday afternoon
We were welcomed by friendly staff members and were allowed to tee off a few minutes before our tee time. The pace of play was perfect we finished in 3:30. The tees and fairways were in very good conditions and the greens had some speed. My wife and I had an enjoyable day.
Pleasantly Surprised
Waited a year before moving here to play this course....Mistake! The greens were perfect and lightening fast. Front nine is older, basic parkland target golf with small greens. Back side is a little more open but the greens are a lot more contoured....really fun!! Hayley the cart girl was awesome; the guy in the bar poured excellent cocktails. We'll be back many times!!
