Rackham Golf Course

So easy Very widely General area,

But winding green and difficult pin layout today.

It’s unbalanced.

But I like this course.

Great simple course located in Huntington Woods. Too early in the season to give green condition report, but well worth the money to play in omen of the Donald Ross designed course Inn Detroit at very reasonable price!!

Staff was friendly and courteous. No starter to Ben found on the day I played but no problem amongst friendly players here!!

The course was in good condition. The pace of play was good. Course layout was not too challenging. Used golf now to get a good price.

Was a nice sunny day. Course was well maintained. Certain holes did have a lot of ground under repairs which is to be expected this late in the season. The fairways and greens were well kept.

Enjoyed the course very much. It was very busy. Greens were great, fairways are good, sand traps were good. Big Donald Ross fan and the course layout was really good. The pro shop/ clubhouse building is about 100 years old and is really cool. They don't want make them like that anymore. I definitely want to play this course again now I know what to expect. The 18th confused me. I thought the green was right behind a sand trap but it was about 30 yards between the trap and the green.

Aside from greens looking like Swiss Cheese & actually having mud/clay within bunkers, fairways could need some TLC.....otherwise for a muni owner by the city ( Detroit ) she’s fair at best & needs lots of work, to bring it back to what it should be.....

Every time I play this course it gets better ;and I appreciate it more.

Bravo to the the management team.- job well done ! So many improvements to restore this Ross classic.

Fairways very rough

Long course for seniors

Always a pleasure to play Rackham. I've been coming here for 50 years and it's in the best shape ever. Pace was a bit slow due to pokey threesome ahead of us. Ranger talked to them but that made no difference. First-timers thinks the course looks easy but there are some long par fours and the wind always sweeps across the course to add to you challenge.

We arrived 30 minutes ahead of our tee time and they let us go out and play. Pace of play was great, we really didn't see anybody out on the course for a Tuesday morning. Greens were pretty quick, and were in good shape. Tee boxes weren't amazing but they were definitely doable. As a twosome, we finished our round in 3 hours, and I'd definitely come back to play again.

My buddy and I showed up with plenty of time to spare for our round. The starter proceeded to let two groups of 4 that were late go out ahead of us. This resulted in a log jam and awful pace of play. It took us over 2 hours to get through 5 holes! The ranger was cruising right by the slow groups and never said a word. Eventually we just skipped a couple holes to get a head of the mess. I've played there many times and had the same issues. The value for money at this course is pretty terrible.

Great course. Challenging, but honest. No beer in the clubhouse

The course has a great design, some very long par 3/4s - no alcohol service if you're into that, and it is not allowed on course. I wish the rangers would have been a little more aggressive - course was also a bit of a mess in areas and we haven't had any major rain in about a week

Rackham has withstood the test of time, great greens and tough par 3s on the back 9
