Rackham Golf Course

Over 5 hours to play.... called pro shop, they didn't seem to care... many tees appeared chewed up... could use TLC and water...

Torn up in alot of spots, but nice course to play. Hit and miss if its going to be a slow round, but be prepared for a slow one.

Course we’ll maintained with greens running true. They pack the tee-times so be prepared for a slow round and don’t expect too much from the course rangers who are clearly visible, but fail to move things along. When tee-boxes have 2-3 tee-times backed up you know you’re in for a slow one!

Pin positions felt much more like a Sunday tournament trying to crush us. Slowed play a little otherwise the course was great.

This place is trash in every aspect. Rude desk lady, snail pace of play on a Monday morning I played 8 holes and just walked off because it took 3 hours. Do better Rackham.

This course just has something special about it. I love the old school Art Deco clubhouse/pro shop. The greens were fast, course was well maintained and I’m looking forward to playing the third and final Detroit municipal course soon!

The course has been kept up during this extended hot and dry stretch. There were very few beat up areas and the greens were great.

Everything they had control over was very good to great.

But it is a a little bit on the expensive side.

$47 to ride, $40 to walk.

I hadn't played there in almost 10 years and it seems to have improved. I'll return gladly.

I’d certainly play again. I certainly enjoyed myself and there was some healthy difficulties.

We had a 3:52 tee time and didn’t actually tee off until 4:32 because it was so overbooked. We even had to wait to get a cart because they were all being used. It took 3+ hours for two of us to play 9 holes, and the course wasn’t in great shape.

Greens played tricky at this course but overall fun and some long par 3's.

Greens are truly world class. The course is awesome. Just a little more manicure of fairways and bunker complexes and this becomes a top 5 public course in 75 mile radius!!!

The pace was great. The staff was very helpful. I would play there again.

Bad experience. I booked 2 golfers through Golf Now, then tried to adjust my reservation to 4 golfers. Called Rackham all morning to adjust, but nobody ever answered. When I arrived they rudely bumped my tee time an hour back, did not give me the Golf Now credit / discount, their clubhouse was closed and they did not sell beer. No beer available for purchase to drink in the clubhouse, or on the course... no cart girls. All around bad experience - many better courses around!

This course is central to the metro Detroit area and it offers a chance for people from many parts of the region to get together for golf. It is not too long but you still have to make shots to score. It was obvious today that many were coming out of quarantine because golf shots were being sprayed all over the place. The fairways were relatively close so one needed to be on the lookout for errant shots. We had an enjoyable round with some inexperienced golfers but the slow pace of play allowed us to keep up with the group in front of us.
