Enjoyable course ~
Enjoyable course, more target than bomb away, and the greens have decent speed with a true roll
no carts
golf course was so busy that we had to wait 20 min for a cart because they didn't have enough. missed our tee time and got stuck behind a large group. terribly slow pace of play. mediocre course.
Perfect day in pine island
Great day for golf..course was in great shape ttt...was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon but everyone was moving along....I did not see much social distancing around the clubhouse...good price for a fun round
The course had 4 holes closed due to flooding. Our foursome felt that we should have been told this before playing. Holes 10-13 were closed and we found this out when we made the turn after playing the front 9. I am not sure if we would have played the course or not had we known but should have been told.
Pleasant challenge
The course was in nice shape and fun to play. It has a nice variety of hole layouts with a nice degree of challenge. The greens rolled very sell and were again a challenge to get right. Really enjoyed the experience.
Great Father's Day golfing
Sunday was a beautiful day for a round of golf at a course neither my dad or I have played. Took a while to get used to the layout, but enjoyed our first 9 holes of the year @ PIGC! Will definitely be back to see what the back 9 are like!
Nice course
The course was in real good shape and has plenty of challenging holes. would recommend playing this course.
Great deal on nice course
I enjoyed my round. Lucked onto a great Nov day to golf on Minnesota. Played White tees at ~6100 yards. Most fairways were very open and forgiving. May not be challenging for some golfers but was nice being able to find a ball in the rough fairly easily. Couple of the pars 3s were tough and would be much more difficult with some wind. Great course for a beginner. Played 18 in around 3 hours.
Aerated Greens, soft, bumpy and slow, but otherwide good conditions
GolfNow warned about aerated greens, and that was the case. Combined with the large amount of rain in the past week, the greens were really soft, so it was easy to hold approach shots. For putting, some of the greens had a bit more sand topdressing that others, so figuring out the speed was tricky at first and there was some unusual bounces on some chip shots (as you might expect with aerated greens). This course grows on you. The first time I played it, there was a few surprises (out of bounds driving range is pretty close on holes 2 and 3), but now that I know about some of these, it’s a bit more straightforward. The fairways were in good condition and the wind made 1-2 clubs difference depending on the direction of the hole.
Great Deal
We took the hot deal and 2 of us played for $25. We got paired up wirh 2 guys from Minneapolis. Fun round. Course was in good shape, greens were great. A little tricky following the paths to the eight holes but a great value.
Fun in pi
We had a good time at pine island. The course was not crowded and it only took three hours for ,18 holes. Some of the greens were a bit rough but we still had a great time
Nice course
Nice course, played there last month for first time and liked the layout, one hole is a little goofy on back nine kind of a layup tee shot. But the course plays to my swing and shot a 82, probably why I'll be back..
Stay in the fairway
I moved from Arizona and have played a lot of Pete Dye courses and his rough has nothing on this place . I watched my bright yellow ball bounce and I never found it again due to the rough. I had to take quite a few drops even though the balk was well in play but never found. Driving range is odd place from the first tee and the in course dithe next hole seemed to be an afterthought. Greens were very fast and the rough around them made it even more difficult. Staff was very nice, but even at 2 pm the food choice was lacking for a Sunday . Greens needs some work, but being a public course not everyone knows how to fix a ball mark. Over all for the money it was a decent course and fun to play with wide fairways, but DO NOT GO IN THE CABBAGE!!!
great day for golf in pine island
I was not planning on golfing but GolfNow had such a good deal I headed up to Pine Island. I expected the course to be in spring condition...but...was delighted to find fairways nicely mowed and greens in really good condition. It was not very crowded so I moved right along once I passed a couple of slow groups. I had a very nice time.
Love this golf course! Friendly staff and great fun!
worth the travel
Worth the travel and cost, 1 hour 20 min drive for us. Made a day of it, played two rounds and had lunch, (hot dogs and chip )
With all the rain we been having course was in good shape. Some area's had some water damage. Still very playable . Will play again. Staff was very friendly and did a great job at making you feel welcomed.
pine island treat
The Pine Island course was in really nice condition with mowed fairways and good greens. I happened to get a tee time when no one was playing and got my 18 holes in and only saw a few groups towards the end of the round. It only took me two hours to play, a rare treat at any golf course. Great deal on Gold Now too.
