Love this golf course! Friendly staff and great fun!
worth the travel
Worth the travel and cost, 1 hour 20 min drive for us. Made a day of it, played two rounds and had lunch, (hot dogs and chip )
With all the rain we been having course was in good shape. Some area's had some water damage. Still very playable . Will play again. Staff was very friendly and did a great job at making you feel welcomed.
pine island treat
The Pine Island course was in really nice condition with mowed fairways and good greens. I happened to get a tee time when no one was playing and got my 18 holes in and only saw a few groups towards the end of the round. It only took me two hours to play, a rare treat at any golf course. Great deal on Gold Now too.
Nice course
Played the course on a Sunday afternoon and expected play to be slow! The course was in great condition! The layout can be confusing at times. Think the course could you more signs to direct first time players of the course! Will definitely play the course again!
great deal
everything was great !
we have never used golf now before
so we had no idea that us 2 would be
put together with 2 other single players
Not good
We arrived early to the course. We noticed there were not a lot of groups teeing off, so we figured we could get off early. Nope, the clubhouse refused to let us off until our scheduled tee time, even though there were no groups teeing off. Do they not understand it is to their advantage financially to keep the course as full.as possible, especially in a state with only about 8 months of golf. I had a hard time understanding the logic.
Good for everyone
Love this course. Play this course regularly and have for many years.
Great value!
At $25 for 18 holes and cart, this was a great value. The course was in good shape and I loved the challenging tee decisions due to tree placements, creek proximity and fairway shape. Easy 15 minute trip from Mayo Clinic.
A fun time in PIne Island
We made a last minute decision to play Pine Island because of a great rate on Golf Now. We have played the course several times, although it had been a while. The course was in nice shape...some of the trees seemed taller than th elast time we played. Nice variety of holes. Got paried up with a very pleasant guy who was new to the area...lots of fun
Pine Island
Love this course, right amount of difficulty and variability. Awesome price for 18 holes.
Great course and staff.
Great value for the money and always a fun course to play!
Course in perfect shape
55-60 and no wind but sunny for a perfect day. The course was not busy at all.
Good value
Nice well groomed course. No waiting, friendly staff. Note to bring your own water as there is no water supply on the course.
Challenging course
This course is well worth playing due to its excellent prices and course layout. The greens are large with plenty of slope, the fairways are in very good shape and there is never slow play but on Sunday's which is family day. The only thing I would have the super intendant work on is getting the tee boxes perfect. There is no reason they can not be level and have them full of grass. Just need to put a little more effort into it. No kitchen just hot dogs and sandwiches.
Best value for golf in Minnesota
As their website shows, in 2010, this course was rated the best value for golf in Minnesota. Four years later this course doesn't disappoint! The staff is very friendly. The greens and fairways were in great shape. The course is "playable" for all levels for still challenging...especially from the blue tees.
Great value
The course was in great shape. Even though the greens on the front 9 had just been punched, they ran fast and true .There were a few VERY challenging pin setting! The greens on the back nine had not been punched, and were slower, but still quick.
Just enough trouble to be challanging
I ususally play from the white tees but the guys I played with today wanted to play from the blues. This course takes on a different look from back there. If you want an extra challange, try this cousre from the blues.
If you're looking for a championship course.....
...this isn't it. This is just a good old boy course, that is perfect for you guys that are higher handicaps. It's pretty open, but it does have enough challenge to keep everyone in your group happy.
The fairways are OK, not great, but the greens are in great shape.
The guys in the pro shop are super friendly!
For what I paid on GN, it was a good value, but don't get your expectations too high when you book here....
