We enjoyed the course. Ea h nine is like playing a different course. Each nine has challenges.
Na
I liked the course but the no carts by the greens are way to far from the greens l. Ridiculous. No sense using carts,
Unexpected challenges.
Bladed it into a guy with a chainsaw. Didn’t kick my ball back onto the green. Otherwise the course played fair.

Course was is good condition for a small town course. Great golf for the buck. Staff asked if the could improve on anything after we finished our round which is very rare from a ranger. Thumbs up! Front nine close quarters with tree but still able to find your ball. Back nine more of a links course where an errant shot will find you in thick rough. Looking forward to going back.
Zumbrota GC
Course was in very good condition for the start of the year. Probably would have rated it higher except we started the round in our shirtsleeves and finished in our stocking hats and two layers of clothing, along with a 20 mph wind. Always be prepared in early season Minnesota!
It was a great time and we still scored decently considering the elements. Will go back!
Creative Layout
They place a barn in your way on the par 3 third, but it doesn't reward a shot that hits it dead on. Grounds crew was polite and way too trusting of my friend's majestic 190 carry off the tee.
Looks easy on the scorecard
But the hills and most of all the greens make it a great challenge.
Highly recommend.
Story of Two Nines
The course has two very different 9s. The front 9 is the original 9 holes built in the 20s. This 9 has a tighter layout, with smaller greens and several blind shots. Back 9 is the newer 9 that’ is a links style with a hilly layout and larger undulating greens.
All in all it was a very enjoyable round.
Two different courses
The front 9 is old school , narrow tree-lined fairways and while not long, not terribly forgiving. The back 9 is links-style, more open with wild areas guarding the wider fairways. It doesn’t feel nearly as claustrophobic as the front 9 and seems easier to play even though it’s much longer and has 2 extra “par”. Our cart was a bit on the anemic side, but it did make it up all of the hills. The front 9 is more walkable than the back, which has a few steeper sections.
