Creative Layout
They place a barn in your way on the par 3 third, but it doesn't reward a shot that hits it dead on. Grounds crew was polite and way too trusting of my friend's majestic 190 carry off the tee.
Looks easy on the scorecard
But the hills and most of all the greens make it a great challenge.
Highly recommend.
Story of Two Nines
The course has two very different 9s. The front 9 is the original 9 holes built in the 20s. This 9 has a tighter layout, with smaller greens and several blind shots. Back 9 is the newer 9 that’ is a links style with a hilly layout and larger undulating greens.
All in all it was a very enjoyable round.
Two different courses
The front 9 is old school , narrow tree-lined fairways and while not long, not terribly forgiving. The back 9 is links-style, more open with wild areas guarding the wider fairways. It doesn’t feel nearly as claustrophobic as the front 9 and seems easier to play even though it’s much longer and has 2 extra “par”. Our cart was a bit on the anemic side, but it did make it up all of the hills. The front 9 is more walkable than the back, which has a few steeper sections.
Nice
Tight fairway s on the front nine, fast greens and well maintained.
Great course
Booked on golf now was great price and excellent course well maintained
Nice course, Great greens!
The course was in good shape, the greens were great. Soft, receptive and yet quick. No driving range but putting and chipping greens. I've played $80 courses in worst condition. Greens are worth the price alone.
Fun layout in great condition
First time out here and it was a great time. Front 9 is woodsy and Back 9 is more links style. Nice hole designs using the land well. My brother and I will definitely go back again.
