About
Situated on the southern edge of Kalamazoo, Milham Park Golf Club borders its namesake park. This municipal course is one of the best in the city, boasting some of the best conditions of any of the area's golf courses. Originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1931, the second nine was added as a project under the Works Project Administration in 1935. The course has a traditional layout that is seemingly short by modern standards at 6,630 yards from the back tees. Don't let the yardage fool you, Milham Park offers many holes with good length. The layout is heavily bunkered and there are tall trees along the fairways. Water is nowhere to be found except for a mild hazard that edges along the fourth hole.

Course layout and maintenence are great. Greens were maintained but the rough was a little long for my liking last round. A couple holes were challenging because they had moving sprinklers blasting...... which seems to happen every time I play here and makes a least one hole unpleasant. The pace of play is usually reasonable here and on par with other nearby courses. This seems hit or miss though. The practice areas (putting and chipping) are probably the best around. The course is above average in comparison to other local courses but also costs above average too.

Best municipal
I’ve played here often through the years and was a member back in my 20’s.
Still to this day probably the best municipal course I have ever played.
Great layout with no quirky holes. Wide variety of tees to make it challenging. Greens were better this year so far and we’re fast.

Did not fell welcome
I was told that they paired groups into foursomes, however that was not the case. Were were a 3 some that was moving along at a great pace finished in a little over 4 hours. The ranger harassed us the entire back nine because they had 3 twosomes behind us. Was visiting from Georgia and was looking forward to playing a local course. Id recommend Gull Lake courses to any visitors in that area.

Pace of play
We had a foursome in front of us who were very slow but because we didn’t have a timetable we just chose to wait it out. Not courses fault by any means though we never saw a Marshall who was looking for such issues. Really enjoyed the course. Excellent condition

Great track
The course is not overly long, but it is tricky. Rough is not where you want to be, greens are sneaky fast with a good amount of slope. Lots of doglegs, which make placement off the tee a premium. Can not wait to play this course again.

Bigger then you think
When you see the some of the holes from the street they seem short and narrow but when you’re on the tee boxes you’ll see it’s quite the opposite
The course is convenient.
Pretty overall good course. Location is nice. Out of bounds here is over a fence, other people's property.
Fun course near the city
The course was pretty well maintained, given that it had rained. The course had some work being done on it, which resulted in cables exposed near the greens. Otherwise, everything was pretty fun for a novice golfer.
