Played the front 9 twice
Unfortunately, the back 9 was under water after recent storms and could not be played. Greens on the front were in excellent condition. Hole #3 is interesting, as it has 2 separate greens which can make it a dogleg right or dogleg left, and there is a creek that runs in front of the greens. It's an easy walk.
Little things make a difference
Nice looking property but the course was very wet and muddy in many places even though no rain for a few days. Course is poorly marked with some holes not having all the yardage stakes andost bunkers had little sand or sand that hadn't been groomed. This seems lazy and indicates a management that does not care about the golfer experience. Their prices are too high for the way the course is maintained. Too expensive for the location and condition.
good course
Played here many a time, rain did damage to bunkers, they could get to work on them a little quicker. All in all, nice course, mature trees.
Nice course but overpriced.
I felt like I should be wearing a helmet on the course! Way too many holes next to each other so there were players/carts on each others respective fairways all the time as well as balls being hit near you all day. The cart paths were in horrible condition, too many blind holes and doglegs. This was a one and done experience.l
Decent shape for early spring
Timber Creek was in fairly good shape for the early spring and all the rain we have had. This course has about 3-4 goofy golf holes but other than that it is a fun track with good greens.
Pleasant, great value
Course is not overly long or difficult, but is a nice set-up for your average 10-15 handicapper. Pleasant staff.
Ace on 16
Most memorable round of my life! Started out rough then found my swing. After some bad luck on 14 and too many putts on 15,
I aced 16 with a 7 iron that launched high bounced once then wedged agsinst the pin inside the cup. Amazing shot with a ton of luck but the only one on that side of the course was on the 15th fairway out of site of my hole in one. Greatest round of my life but no witnesses
Course layout difficult for someone who is playing it first time
Arrived at course to check in and pro shop had only one person on duty. In addition to checking in customers, he was also tasked with selling sandwiches, beer and soft drinks. By the time I got checked in, I almost missed my tee time..I got a key for a cart but had to hunt for a cart to put it in. Pace of play was slow and because of that and many "blind" shots, we got hit into several times. The layout of a number of holes were poorly defined and it was difficult to determine where to place your shots.
rolling greens good shape for being punched 10 days ago!
good course from the blue tees. moderate length can let the driver out on some holes but not on all of them. drove through the fairways on some holes and water comes into play on #10. Better off hitting 3 or 5 woods all day to go low. greens are tricky so be ready for some 3 putts. Good course but need to play it a couple times to figure out where to land your approach shot.
Challenging course; less than adequate maintenence
Course is challenging with many " blind doglegs". Under maintained, however. Staff is really friendly. Was glad we didn't pay full weekend price.
Nice course - needs some care in areas
Overall the course was fun to play and the staff were very friendly. Most holes were well groomed, but a few had patches in the fairway that needed serious attention. Hole 10 was one that had bare spots and rough areas in the fairway. A few low lying areas had excessive water and it was tough to play without getting muddy and there hadn't been any rain for a few weeks.
The greens were in good condition without any bare or rough spots. Most were challenging and generally fast. For the price I paid I would play the course again. The layout was nice, except the placement of some of the teeboxes left me wondering where I had to go a few times, but nothing I couldn't handle.
course is worth playing if you can get a deal.
Greens were great but fairways need work and most of the tee boxes are awful!!! We played the white tees. We prepayed online for 22.00 so it was a good value. But would not pay full price to play this course when so many others are in much better shape.
Good greens, poor fairways
To many holes either swampy or dead patches in fairways. I sense they don't have the cash to keep everything up so have chosen just the greens, which is probably the right call. Also find a few to many odd hole designs to get me back again. Its ok at the right price but not a recommender.
Great value!
Slope rating says it all....challenging course and greens good and a great value!
Not great, but worth 20 bucks for 18 and a cart
Timber Creek is a decent course. It is reliable in that it is always in okay shape and not too many people
great value
certainly not a top 5 course but it has some wonderful holes. The greens are in great shape.
fun to play
booked a deal on golfnow and played a friday late afternoon. fun par 3s and great par 5s. water, woods and holes up high on hills. greens are perfect
Great Value!
Compared to the Minneapolis city courses, TC is a better value and generally in better condition.
fun course, little bit of everything.
course took a lot of rain recently but dried out well when I played it. Fun course, played on a monday not much traffic played a fast round.
The fairways were quite thin in places and not as good as other courses we've played.
With numerous doglegs, the course challenges you on placing your shots. The greens were in good condition.
