Horrible staff
Had a 6:15 tee time and the staff just stood around and talked until 6:40 I was finally able to tee off around 6:45 after waiting on the entire staff. A complete joke as far as a business goes. Course is alright, makes you feel good about yourself because it’s short and that’s about it. What a waste of space.
18 hole course
The tee boxes are bad(the weeds are to long). The fairways are horrible.mostly dirt and weeds.some of the greens are ok.In general, the course is not taken care of.
Not a good experience
If you like playing golf on a course where the fairway might as well be the rough and putting around goose turds by all means play this course. The management will kick you off at 7 when sunset isn’t until 7:30 and you are on your last hole just because they want to go home. Bad experience I would not recommend.
Fun weekend course, way overbooked
Knew what I was getting in regards to course conditions, layout, difficulty level, etc., so no concerns there. Course was extremely overbooked. Waiting on the tee on nearly every hole. Eventually ran into a 6 person group who claimed they were scrambling, but my group watched them all take their own putts. Would have no issues with this course considering the $$, but not worth it when overbooked like it was.
No One Showed Up to Course
This was my second time booking here. Both have been early tee times because I try and go before work on Fridays. Unfortunately this time, no one showed up to the clubhouse. I waited an hour along with a few other people that had tee times. The maintenance guy tried calling someone, but couldn't get in touch with anyone. Very disappointing!
Lots of potential but course is not managed well at all. Golfers police themselves
2 back to back singles started in front of us. They did not want to play with anyone else. 20 min wait at 1st tee just to get going. Front 9 took 3 hours. When we finally got to the turn, there was even more of a wait on hole 1. Therefore, a brand new group of 4 decided they would just jump in front of us and start their round on hole 10. When I asked if the course attendant started them there, they said yes and laughed. I knew there's no way this was true so I walked up and asked the same guy that checked us in. He was an older gentlemen with glasses. Seemed like he was the only one working up there. He was taking beer orders and also checking people in. So the wait time to get his attention was long as well. He finally answered my question and said there's no way those guys were given permission to start on hole 10 with the busy day they were having. He went out and yelled at the group and instead of making them start on hole 1, he told them to let us play through. Play through? This was our hole to begin with.... they should be on hole 1 with the rest of the course.
That set the rest of the day up to be tense. Of course words were exchanged as they were children about it and then they continued to hit into us every hole on the back 9. This group should've been moved to hole 1 or kicked out with how mouthy they were. Instead of backing good golfers who play by the rules (fix divots, stay on cart paths, wait their turn), they let those 4 jump in front of countless groups waiting their turn all day and set us up for an ugly situation. It never got to that point as other groups witnessed the same 4 and continued to pass them themseleves. What a mess. Will never golf here again and will voice this to every good golfer I know in the area. It hasn't just been this round. The course is 4 for 4 with situations like this in 2020. This just happened to be the one to get me to write my 1st review. I continued to give them a chance as I've had fun converstaions with the owner who seems like a good guy. However, tee times are not managed well. No marshalls. No enforcement of the rules or pace of play.
Nice wide open course
Played Riverside for the first time. Great if you like a nice wide open course; fewer places to lose your balls. Rough practically non existent, made it easy to find your balls. Greens well watered, much slower than I expected after a hot summer.
Slower than molasses
We had the first tee time out of the gate. 4 players riding in carts. By the time we hit the back 9 there were two groups of 4 walkers that brought the pace of play to a screeching halt. Slowed everyone down. If you’re going to allow foursomes to walk the back nine and jam everyone up, you can’t have 8 minute intervals for tee times. Pace of play was horrendous. Too many golfers on the course.
