Slow play
Great value for the money but extremely slow. Should not be allowed to walk 18 holes.
This course has value for your money
I've played this course twice now and overall it's a good course and the value is really good.
It has the same issues that other courses have at this price point ($25 per player for 18 w/a cart). Their business model is volume of golfers at a lower price per round. This volume puts a lot of strain on the course conditions. They do a good job to keep up with the volume, but there is only so much you can do. The course fairway grass is tough, and often hard and some tee boxes are in repair mode.
The course also has an odd layout. You often are crossing back and holes are very close to one another. In some instances to get to your next tee box you have to drive through another holes fairway.
Overall the course is in okay to good condition, just remember you only paid $25, and you get what you pay for. The course is often crowded, but that is their businesses model. They do their best to work out the traffic jams caused by party size and walk vs riding golfers. I would recommend this course to a friend.
Nephew's first round
I picked this course because i knew it was flat and open. I had my 13 year old nephew who has never played 18 hole only a little par 3 once or twice. It was good for him in there was not much trouble he could get in to. It is not a country club but a good course to start on and for the money. very flat so easy to walk if you wanted to.
Riverside
Average condition all around noting oin particular to criticize it is what is van affordable well kept course with marshall oversight which is a plus
Good value
Booked this on Golf now the night before. Arrived late after calling and they were friendly and accommodating.
Pace
The pace was slow, not sure if it was because it was a holiday but I enjoyed the overall layout
Cheap
The course does not offer much of a challenge and it's in need of some grounds improvement.
Good experience first time playing here
Overall the course was very nice, and not too difficult. The staff was very friendly and efficient. A couple of the tee boxes had very new grass, but did not impact my play since the ball was up on a tee anyway. The price is reasonable too, so this may very well become my new home course.
Alright for what it is
Alright course for the money (it seems you can play with cart for around $25 most any time), but certainly not the top course in the immediate area. Concessions (specifically beer) are incredibly overpriced. The staff was very curt and short with everyone I saw them interact with, and not at all friendly. Fairly slow pace of play. I'm not sure if this is due to the very awkward layout of the course and distance between some holes, or just a busy afternoon. Course not terribly challenging, and was in pretty poor shape for the first day of June. Lots of dirt fairways and weed clumps for rough. For my money, in the future I'll pay a few bucks more in green fees to play a nicer course, and with less pricey food and drink I'll still come out ahead.
grassless
great roll on drives(no grass) better hit the green or your rolling well over. Small greens, more slants on the greens than the flat course. NOT worth $25, and that seems cheap on the weekend.
Course is ok. Decent value
Good greens, bad fairways, too much denim. Tee boxes need work. Decent value for $25. The course could use a marshal. I saw two different groups of 5 walking. That should never be allowed. I would recommend no walkers on weekends before noon and never have a group of more than 4.
Nice course for the price
I love hitting this course to stay loose and enjoy a round of golf
grass a little sparse
great location
nice people work there
good facility for events
carts in good shape
lunch good
par 3 next door for beginners
Work on course on track
Lots of new improvements to tee boxes, and fairways looking better than last year.
A bit rough
Not in great shape, but is early in the season. I've played this course in the summer and was very nice. But it had rained the night before and things were a bit soggy. Plus, the grass has not started growing yet, so many lies, evern on the fairway, were on dirt or mud. Greens were playable, but the rolls were less than desireable. Give it a month.
Bare
This course was in horrible shape, no grass at all, most of the course was dirt. Will not be returning again.
Ugh! Ya get what ya pay for.
So, my buddy saw a Golf Now posting for Riverside Golf Course for $20. He thought it would be a great deal. Well........ Not so much, as he found out.
Frost delay pushed beck our tee time, not a big deal, and the staff were very courteous and friendly. Nice.
But, the course is just in such poor shape that it made it very tedious to enjoy the day.
Bare lies in all fairways and the rough. Newly aerated greens with way too much top dressing, made putting an adventure. No fringe. Small greens. Bad conditions. Why did you make me play here? Well, I guess we got what we paid for!
Decent Run
Riverside has a nice staff and the course is pretty good.
We booked 18 but only ended up playing the front 9. It was fall, so it's hard to really tell the caliber of this course without playing it in the spring/summer, but I can imagine it is a pretty average course.
I have and will play here regularly.
