Eagle Springs
Tee boxes were a little rough. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Fun course to play.
Always ready for play
The crew is always out doing things to improve the course even in this hot weather and it shows
Decent course conditions, but...
I've played this course many times. It's been a rough summer with little to no rain. The tee boxes were hard packed and need some love. The greens were unusually slow (from past experience) and overwatering made the approaches swampy, so any high approach shot stopped dead and you got virtually no roll if you hit short. Many small groups on the course slowed play. Some people are just not aware of the concept of 'ready golf'. A starter/ranger would have helped.

Course layout fine, but the first cut of rough is like a US OPEN where any ball off the fairway is immediately in thick 4" rough. I realize keeping in the fairway is better of course, but I lost a couple of balls but found a bunch because obviously many are having this problem.
Bang for the buck
Great course! With the tree coverage, dog legs, and hills the course was challenging and fun! Fairways and greens were well maintained and I'm excited to play there again!
Wasn't excited about the 5some that jumped on the course at hole 12 and shanked every shot - one guy was on a respirator and in overalls... they caused the back nine to take almost 3 hours and wouldn't let us play through!?
Poor pace of play/ scheduling
The front 9 (10-18) was fine. But when we came back around to do the second 9. There was four groups of 4 ahead of us (group of 2). It would have taken us forever to wait on all these groups, so we asked if we could just play the 10-18 again, and were told no and that it was like this everywhere. So we just left. It wouldn’t have been worth that wait if it were free.
Hot day
Really hot but also a positive just busy enough to play a nice steady round
Good shape
The dry weather has taken some areas a little but overall it is in very playable condition almost too hot to play
Sloooooooow
Pace of play got backed up due to people being allowed to tee off 30 minutes after their tee time. I was on time and I got pushed back 40 minutes. I can usually shoot 18 holes in 2.5 hours. It took nearly 3 hours to shoot thr front 9. Nobody allowed the single players play through. Someone called the office to complain but the Marshall went home at noon. Guess nobody else can manage course time. Will not be.comjng back. I left after 9 holes. Guy in front of me got a free round due to the wait and I got nothing.
Great condition
The course was in great condition set aside a few spots here and there if you are off the green be ready it is thick so it is hard to make yourself hit it hard enough the greens are rolling smooth what a great day thanks to everyone who works there and a big high five to Tom
Great shape
Course was in great shape! Nice layout and a few challenges. Was held up by a slow group, but I guess you’ll have that on a nice Sunday.
Unexpected Gem
Eagle Springs is not the first course people think of but it is surprisingly fun. Not overly long (roughly 6600 from the back tees) but interesting holes that will force you to think about your play. A couple of 'tricked up" holes but that is due to the landscape. One can suffer through those because the track is a joy. The greens run slow so you do need to press the ball toward the hole. The staff, while small, are very friendly and no nonsense. A course that you should play a couple times of year if you live in the STL area.
Forgot about this place.
I hadn’t played here in at least 15 years. But it was a great time on a beautiful day and the course was in great shape.
Hot and playable
Course is ready for play just was a bit hot at noon for me
