Perfect for my beginners
This has been one of the kindest courses to work with beginners. The staff is amazing and welcoming. And the course offers a nice challenge to coach folks on.
Enjoyed it but not in the greatest shape.
The staff is extremely nice and the layout was enjoyable but general course condition was a bit rough.
Great experience
First and foremost, the service is great and welcoming. I had two starters with me so the time of day allowed them a little extra time to be coached throughout. Great course for beginners to learn the game without the pressure of being rushed.
The Rock is one of my favorite golf courses in the area. The small greens make it a fun challenge and really test your short game. It's close to home, the staff is always excellent, and pace of play is rarely an issue—even on weekends, which can't be said for every course around here.
Since it's a 9-hole course, you can usually get through a round fairly quickly, making it a great option when you're short on time. Overall, it's a fun, well-maintained course that I always enjoy playing and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good round of golf.
I always enjoy playing The Rock, rough was a little long. Lost a few balls but overall it's in pretty decent shape.. the time of day we went we basically had the whole course to ourselves. It was pretty nice. Definitely recommend it
Here’s a cleaner version of your review that keeps your points but reads smoother:
The Rock had just opened that morning, so the grass was still a little long, which made it tough to find balls. The greens, however, were in pretty good shape. I always enjoy playing Rock Springs—its smaller greens make it a little more challenging and keep things interesting. They still have a little work to do to get the course in tip-top shape for the season, but overall it’s a fun course to play.
Great round
Greens in great Bring extra blls because of the leaves
Can be a tough muni
Love this course. They’ve come a long way with the greens. It can be pretty tough from the back tees, especially if the pin placements are right.
Zero water hazards and minimal sand traps
Enjoyed the round, open fairways, good place for all levels.
Staff were awesome!
Friendliest staff around! Good value for the money. Will play again.
Simple and Scenic
It’s a small 9 hole course, you’re not playing here for the amenities. The clubhouse and lot is pretty backwoods, but it’s nestled in a great location with awesome views. If you’re looking for bang for your buck, it’s here. Cart paths are torn to shreds, but it’s adventurous. It’s not a difficult course by any means. There are no hazards and everything is pretty wide open. It’s a little gem in the woods.
