Duncan Hills nice course
Duncan Hills staff are always friendly. This small town muni course is in great shape and you can tell they have been improving it for years. They just expanded two small ponds into a larger lake this year and it has filled in nicely.
No rules for members
Don’t bother playing here in the mornings. There’s groups of old men who are members that are allowed to form large groupings as they please. Pace of play is terrible and they throw a fit if you try to pass. Staff won’t say anything to them, so don’t waste your time. Plan on a 6+ hour round if you get stuck behind these guys.
Golf Course is an Absolute Gem!!
We love the small town attitude but 18 championship layout this course provides! We have family that lives nearby and we always add an extra day or two to our travel plans to play Duncan Hills. Very easy to get tee times and the price is always right!!
Taking Care
Life is about taking care…the management of this course gets it. They care. The track is a great layout. No unfair or wonky holes. Plenty of challenge and the greens are bent grass and nice…and the flagsticks are wood ! which is a very cool retro touch.
I loved it and I usually have all kinds of things to nit pick but not here.
I live in Scottsdale so I am used to good courses and for this part of the nation I am quite satisfied with Savannah.
MID at best
Seems like all they care about is getting your money………the course is you might say furry they let it grow tall to hide bad places. They didn’t have water stations but they sold it in the clubhouse. The soda was the small bottles that you get at a grocery store like Samsclub but were full price. I got behind three groups of 5 that were sloooow! And they wouldn’t let me play through and the marshals were nowhere to be found.
Great place!
I highly recommend Duncan Hills Golf Club. Dee, Tonja & Terry took great care of us and greeted us with freshly baked cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. It was a chilly day but felt the warmth from the fabulous staff. From inside the proshop to the starter and marshal all were super friendly. Course was in great condition even though it’s still early Spring. Looking forward to playing here again!
