Fun course to play
First time we played it and should have looked on the scorecard map and not lost our second shot on 1, but that was our fault and we watched the map after that.
The tee times were too close to each other so there was a little waiting, but not too bad.
Won’t Go Back
One staff member was rude as soon as we arrived. The course itself needs work but was fairly decent and we were having fun. We were playing at a normal pace, not goofing around or behaving inappropriately, but we were approached on the front 9 and told we needed to “find a way to play faster.” We had been letting people play through and everyone was friendly, with zero issues. We got to hole 17 when a seemingly intoxicated employee drove her cart over to us and slurred her words that she would buy us a drink if we would return the carts to the clubhouse. She said we were playing at a “5-hour” pace instead of a 4-hour. We were confused because nowhere on this app or their website does it mention a set time. She said they were out of carts. They essentially overbooked and tried to make it our problem. Again, we weren’t drunk, we weren’t goofing around, and we were being respectful. We saw someone watching us almost the whole time, from a cart in the distance. We were the only women playing the entire day, and there were only 4 of us. There were larger groups behind us going slower, and not once did we see them be approached. Had we been misbehaving, I wouldn’t have blamed them. But we were doing everything “right.” The golfing itself was fine, but the way we were spoken to and singled out is why we will never be going back. What a disappointment, really.
Worth the money
Had a great time playing a round of golf with my son. Over all the course is in great condition, the greens had some bad spots that were being addressed . That is the only bad thing I could say and that is being picky, great course.
Great course for anyone.
we loved playing this course. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Pace of play was great. We will going back soon.
Great value
Worth the drive from the Kansas City. Price is great course was in good condition. Friendly staff and challenging holes
Duncan Hills looks better than ever
Although I have played Duncan Hills at least 60 times in the past 25 years, I had not been there for a couple of years. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the course looks better than ever. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are nicely maintained, and it is clear that money has been spend on improvements throughout the course. I saw ponds I had never noticed before because of the clearing of tall brush and trees around them. I was pleased to meet the new management after the round and to tell her how nice the course looks.
