Great course
Great course for the price. Very friendly staff and great pace of play. It was cart path only and I think we finished our round faster somehow. Will be going back frequently.
My local “go to” course
I can’t say enough good things about this course. Since the new management took over, the atmosphere has been noticeably more welcoming and reasonable. Even when the GolfNow app has caused confusion with greens fees or cart fees, they’ve handled it with professionalism and friendliness, which goes a long way.
They’ve clearly been reinvesting into the property too — the clubhouse updates look great, and the new cart paths are a huge improvement and show real commitment to the course’s long-term quality.
The greens are solid and perfectly playable — not tour-level, but absolutely nothing to complain about for the price and overall experience. What really makes this place shine is how enjoyable and approachable the layout is. It’s straightforward, fair, and not overly punishing, which makes it ideal for the average golfer who just wants a relaxed, enjoyable round chasing a white ball.
This has become my go-to course in the western STL area. It’s uncomplicated, reasonably forgiving, and consistently delivers a chill, enjoyable day on the course. I genuinely love playing here and look forward to every round.
Good Time
Really like the course it’s fun. Some issues with greens having some issues, but happens some in August. Will play again.
Everything was good but the greens
Like the title says everything was good with the greens. They were a little patchy and some of the spots were really bad no grass all black not looking real good. But other than that great course good time hope they can get the greens fixed. Definitely would go back. Thank you
The pace of play usually is not too bad. But, sometimes, you will meet 5 or 6 players play in the same time. Most of time, they will let you go through. For Example, there were 5 players in the group before us today (we only had 2 players). They let us go through at Hole 6 (par 3 hole). However, we met a 6 players group in front of us before and they didn't want to to go through them.
Greens improved from last year
Greens used to be very hard and ridiculously fast…they were actually slower this time…more playable. It was carts on path I think because of new paths and sod along the path…enjoyable round.
Stay out of the rough
Try staying on the fairways is sometimes harder than you think. I think this is a fine golf course for out in the country. You couldn't tell.
Fun
We had a lot of fun, course was very nice. They were very nice and there are some fun holes. Course was in great shape it was a challenging on some holes but very fun, will play again
Loved the course, not the help
Booked tgrough Golfnow at a discounted rate from the course norm. When we arrived at the course, Tori checked using but would not honor the Golfnow rate. Said she didn’t know anything about Golfnow. Made us pay the full rate to play. I play this course 2-3 times a week and on a whim checked Golfnow. Found the lower price and decided why not give it a shot? Bad idea, Tori even argued the regular rates with us. She was not helpful and rude! We’ll go back because it’s our local course, but won’t book it with Golfnow again. Insult to injury, GN won’t refund the $6 booking fee, just give vouchers for future hot deal bookings. Live and learn
Great Value
Cost was low and course was acceptable. Greens small but in great shape. We played during a strong wind that blew a limb down striking my cousin. Staff was very responsive even to the point of calling to check on her the day after.
Very nice setup
Nice setup, was a little confusing finding some tee boxes. They're doing some construction for the cart paths. Can't wait to see how they turn out.
Just not worth it
Hard to say it’s not worth $15, but it’s not. I said after I went there in a March I wasn’t going back. Now twice we left after 12 holes. It’s like a course that can’t make up its mind. Is it a cheap muni that’s supposed to be fun even tho there’s hardly any grass, or a tough tournament style course where they make it impossible to get up and down. If the greens were reasonable, it would be fine. But they have raised turtle back greens that are concrete hard and lightning fast. Puts that should go by 6-12in end up off the green on the fringe.
