Course was in little ruff shape some greens were not in the best shape. Some fairways was also not in the best shape.
Poor greens.
Overall this is a decent course. However, the greens were in very bad shape. Many dead spots and bumpy .
A little notice of the green aeration would be nice
Overall, a decent value. Front nine and back nine are completely different from each other. A little notice of the green aeration would be nice Before playing.
Fun golf course
Staff was very polite and professional. The front 9 is a links style and the back 9 is hilly and a few blind shots come into play. Overall a good golf course. I can see how the course would get backed up on the weekends with its tall thick rough makes finding your ball difficult when just off the fairway. There were a lot of dandelions growing all over the course that needs to be addressed. Could use a few more mowers out there..
3 hours for a front 9...
Incredibly slow pace of play with lots of 4 balls out and no marshalls out until 2.5 hours into the 3 hours to do 9 holes.
Lots of people playing with no idea about etiquette:
Slow players zig zagging all over in a buggy with no regard for the 4 groups stacked up on tee boxes.
Ball landed on top of my buggy whilst waiting at a tee box without a shout of fore or acknowledgement that it could have killed someone
Other groups on the adjacent hole walking straight up to a ball sitting between our green and theirs and picking it up and walking away (we were on a par 3.
We played the back 9 and it was much improved as everyone else had seemingly given up, but I won't be rushing to get back there on a. Saturday afternoon if that is par for the course.
A Drive But Worth It
This was a 45 minute drive for me but ended up worth it. This early in the year, the fairways and rough are dormant but they were still in decent shape compared to most courses I've played this year. Back 9 more challenging and completely different than the front. Looking forward to playing this again once it greens up.
Like the course front nine straight forward and back nine hilly and blind shots makes it a tough course
Excellent value
Overall, an excellent golf experience. The front nine is flat with some water and more of a links layout. The back nine is hilly and wooded with several elevation changes. The greens are in excellent condition. It is not a country club, but it is a very playable course that is an excellent value. I also found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful day
Beautiful weather and playing golf. How can you complain.
LOVE, LOVE PLAYING MERAMEC LAKES GC
Haven’t played here for awhile and I forgot how much I love playing its beautiful fairways and greens. This is a very good place to practice and sharpen your skills on perfecting your game. And YES, I would highly recommend playing this challenging golf course to everyone🏌🏻♀️⛳️🏌🏻
Getting ready
Have a scramble in September wanted to see how the course laid out
Hey Damien, it’s Randy from Meramec Lakes. I apologize for the slow pace on Saturday. It was the first nice weekend of the year, and I understaffed the course for the sold-out tee sheet. Many “first timers” were out there, and I didn’t control the first tee properly. We’re usually easygoing, but last Sunday got out of hand. Please email me, and hopefully, you can give us another chance.
