1st: Scenery and golf course vie for the starring role at Waukewan. This first green, blind from the fairway, has a hidden bunker behind it. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
6th: A tight par-5. Here we look back—across the pond--at the ribbon of fairway where the tee shot lands, for those who prefer to stay dry and out of the woods. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
7th: A masterful 3-par, viewed from right flank. This bunker is out of view from the tee, along with another trap on the green’s opposite side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
8th: From behind green. Perhaps one of the most elegant and scenic par-5’s in all of New Hampshire. It’s also tough. This view faces the tee, which is a long way down the immense hill. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
16th: Another strong hole over a stretch of seven on the back side. Uphill, long par-3 to a perched green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020
-
18th: View behind/left of hole. Pond must be traversed on either 1st or 2nd shot of 4-par: a risk/reward decision. New England scenery, including clubhouse, forms a pleasant backdrop. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2020

Early Season Great Greens
Pleasantly surprised by the overall condition of the course ,especially the greens, considering the amount of snow last winter. Greens were fast and "green". Rough could be shorter,(lost 2 balls close to fairway cut ), because of 4 to 5 inch tall thick grass. Great North Country facility as long as you like holes that are either uphill or down.
A typical mountain course, with lots of side hill lies, trees, and fast greens. Fun to play but bring extra balls, ‘cause you can lose a sleeve on one hole. Friendly staff. Will definitely play again.
Hello. We at Waukewan would like to thank you for visiting us and providing an accurate review of the course and staff. We hope you will visit with us again in the future.
Best Ever
I've played this course a number of times over the last 15 years. It's in the best condition I've ever seen it. Greens, tee boxes, fairways, etc. were in very good to excellent condition. This is not an easy course to maintain. The landscape – hills, ponds, forest – and NE weather will make any superintendent's life challenging. The maintenance staff deserve much credit for their efforts. All in all, Waukewan is the quintessential NE track. The course is a mix of traditional, easy, difficult, and one, quirky hole that all levels of players can enjoy when played from your skill-matching tees. Nice people in the shop and on the first tee. Great, casual vibe should make for a great day. I wish them the best of luck. John S.
Hi John, thank you for playing our course over the years and noticing that the grounds crew is dedicated to making improvements where possible. Thank you as well for your kind review of our staff. They are deserving of your recognition.

Great course to play i would recommend it to everyone.
Great place to play
Good people and a fun course. Be smart with club selection and miss in the right spots.
We would like to thank you for playing Waukewan and providing a brief but helpful description of your experience for other golfers to learn from. Your review is characteristic of the course and its dedicated employees. Hope to see you again.
Excellent all the way around!
After the first two holes, the threesome ahead of us invited us to play through. This was great as our pace of play is rather fast. The course itself was in excellent shape, the greens were perfect! The owners have done an amazing job at Waukewan. Unfortunately, there were a few golfers skipping holes and jumping in, however, I suspect management was unaware. The course is in outstanding shape and we had a terrific afternoon of golf. Management asked how we liked the course upon completion, they seemed genuinely interested in feedback. Will definitely play there again and again!
We would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our course and provide a review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your round that day and that you have recommended us to other golfers. We are always interested in meeting the golfers after their round to receive their feedback and make improvements where necessary. Again, thank you!
This was our first time playing here. I’m a novice player at best and found the course to be more challenging than expected. Probably a weather factor as it was a blustery day. The course was in good shape, some minor drainage issues is all I can really complain about. I will definitely play this course again.
Thank you for trying our golf course. Some days the course does play with more difficulty than others as you have observed. We look forward to your return.
some goofy holes
Some very short and quirky holes. Overall course was ok but they had just aerated and sanded greens and it was wet so they were very slow
James, thank you for golfing at Waukewan. Our greens were aerated recently but by the following week, they were running true again thanks to our grounds crew. We hope you join us again for a round and have a more pleasurable experience.
Very scenic course
Great well kept course with beautiful scenic views.
Thank you for your review this season. We are happy to learn that you are pleased with the Golf Club.
Center Harbor Gem
Don't let the short length fool you; this is a shotmaker's course with many risk/reward opportunities. Very few flat lies or putts!
Your knowledge and description of the Golf Club is spot on. We would like to thank you for recommending us to other golfers.
Play
Good conditions however, grreens need to be aratered. To many beginners and women on course slowed speed of play.
Thank you for you recommendations. We have aerated and the greens have rebounded magnificently. Hope you will join us for our customer appreciation day on October 14th this year.
Challenging and good value
The course was very challenging but super difficult for the average player. Greens were in great shape although a bit slower than I'm used to. The only negative was that I didn't know till I got there that the driving range opens late on Thursdays for mowing. I hate having to play without warming up first. Other than that, I would look forward to playing there again.
Thank you for your comments Dave. They will help others know the course conditions and schedules for our range maintenance. Hope you will visit with us again.
Good Game
First time here. Played 4 for $23.49 each. Well worth it. A lot of short holes but a fair amount of driver holes too. One person in our group had played the course in high school so the blind holes helped having him tell us where the green was. You would kind of be shooting in the dark if you haven't played the course before. Well worth the driving range before hand. $5 for a bag of balls. Would definitely come play again
We are glad you enjoyed your time at the Golf Club. You are correct in stating that it is helpful playing in a group that has prior experience. Local knowledge here can be very helpful. Thank you for recommending us.
Great course, nice layout.
It was a beautiful day, course in excellent condition with some tough, strategic pin placements. It is well worth your visit as course is nice and staff and ownership is very pleasant!
Thank you for visiting with us earlier this season and for the nice words regarding the condition of the Golf Club. Pin placements here certainly can make the round challenging, but enjoyable nonetheless. Our staff appreciates your recognition.
Beautiful course w/an easy start and challenging layout.
The course is well maintained and the greens are always in great shape. A very solid challenge for any golfer, with a very tough 9th hole. I love playing it and eventually I'll do well on the front nine too!
Thank you Kevin for taking the time to play our Club. Your comments sum up the course conditions and challenges perfectly. We know it is a drive from your area but hope it is well worth it.
WOW
From the moment you step on the first tee the beautiful views of the nearby White Mountains will take your breath away, and these vistas repeat throughout the layout which offers a great mix of shot making and air-it-out grip and rip golf. Truly a New England gem. PLAY IT!!!
Your description of the opening hole is what we feel is one of the strengths are of our Golf Club. We always say that if we can get a first time player to step onto the first tee here, they are hooked for life. Thank you for your recommendation to other golfers.
Nice Place
This was my first time playing there. The others in my group had been there before. It was in nice shape.
Yes, a little water on course would be good on the ht days. I will be back.
Thank you for taking the time to try our Club this year. We hope you had an enjoyable time and will visit with us again. Thank you for your recommendation that others try our course as well.
I played on 8/29/16 and the course is in great shape. Greens are awesome. Fairways & tee boxes could use a bit of help. I highly recommend.
Hello and thank you for taking the time to play our course. We have been fortunate to have some of if not the best greens in Central NH as you pointed out after a tough winter and challenging drought season that followed. We admittedly do have some challenging roughs at our course. Thank you for your recommendation.
