Den Brae’s third hole, a “Volcano” template with falloffs on three sides, demands nothing less than an outstanding tee shot for a GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2025

The fourth, par-5, 500 yards: The fairway tumbles downhill from the tee and is protected by a pair of bunkers in the landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2025

The course has a relatively open, spacious feel on about half of the holes. This again is the par-5 fourth. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2025

The eighth is a fine driving hole that favors a draw. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2025

At Den Brae’s final hole, the fairway curves uphill to a raised, sloping green guarded by a pair of hidden bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2025

Architect Henry Homan used the terrain well at nine, making its green a hard target to hit. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2025

I can definitely see why it was voted best in the Lakes Region
Best experience I've had on a course. The staff inside is very welcoming. Every time I play I feel like I am part of the family. The conditions are very shocking. For a 9 hole course it has the conditions of 18 hole course. It might not be really long but its a good challenge. The greens are smooth and in great condition. I don't know how they do it!!!
Great course conveniently located off Route 93
Second time here this season. Very good condition. Everyone is very friendly. Too many long fairways, with very few water hazards, for a nine hole course.
Den Brae Golf Course
My experience with Golfnow and the course were both great ! Highly recommend both. Great deal w/ Golfnow to book our tee times and the course was in great shape w/ the friendliest of staffers from the Pro Shop, Kitchen, and course maintenance people. Was a great day !
Great Day on the Links
Just right for our play level. Not too many hazards. Fairly open. Enjoyed the challenging, uphill, par 3 hole. Beautiful setting.
Worst Experiance Ever
Fairways were muddy in spots and lacked grass on a number of fairways. Ranger was very rude and disrespectful. Greens had numerous areas without grass. Not well maintained. Been playing there since 2002 course has gone down hill. For the money there are many course that are far better in the area. Will never go back.
Hi there! We are sorry you had a bad experience at Den Brae, we know that all of your complaints stem us refunding your money fully and asking you to come when pace of play is not an issue, which Sunday mornings are our busiest time. During the time you played, the general area in New Hampshire was experiencing a drought - many courses had difficulty keeping the greens, fairways, and tees as green as possible.
