They get paid no matter what you say so...
That just don't care. There are some really nice people there but you know what they say about it floats to the top. If this place wasn't funded by your tax money, it would go broke. It should be converted to a park with various re recreational facilities for kids. Maybe rowboat in the water. A petting zoo. Several driving ranges and a chip snd putt course. Might be a great location for condos with preference for vets and elderly disabled. Definitely not a golf course. .
Best course ever
You will be so happy you decided to play here. You will get a friendly pat on the back when you start and you will be greeted as a conquering hero when you finish.
Believe that? If you do I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn you will love.
Liar liar pants on fire!
Be suspicious of reviews that are favorable, let alone excellent. The problems with this course are not resolvable. Your comments are only acceptable to management if they are complimentary so do not expect good faith efforts to make changes. This is a public course paid for and secured by your tax dollars. The staff are paid '" rain or shine" no matter what you say. Note: don't lump all staff together as most are really nice. As for the experience, you are forewarned. I told you so and so have many others.
Make believe ballroom!
Not really a golf course for players. Layout is horrible and your game will suffer. From tee box to green the faiways are too narrow for long ball hitters. There are tree, braches and bushes that will interfere with your best shots. Putting green feel too soft, like pudding. Easy files ignored. Remove useless tree and widen fairways. 30yrds fairways are not conducive to happy play.
Worth the time and $$
Course is in great shape. Staff extremely friendly and courteous.

Nice course
Staff is friendly, course is challenging with narrow fairways. The tee boxes were a bit threadbare last time I played, but we’ve been having little rain. I enjoy the course.

Should be 9 holes
Virtually every aspect of the course needs change. The simple solution is to avoid it. Another solution would be to cut down numerous tree and wide the fairways. Make it double wide by making it a 9 hole course.

Forge pond
Love this course, its well kept for a county course. I play here often. Its not overly challenging and its fun to play. Slow play is a problem sometimes and the rangers dont really care, they are all over you if you dont drive your cart 90 degree. All in all its a really good, fun course.

Nice Short Course!
I was surprised to find out the course was a Par 60 but don’t let that stop you from playing here! Being a public course and county funded, I felt the shape of the course was amazing and there were some challenging layouts to be played! The staff was very friendly and knew the answers to all of my questions. I would definitely recommend the course especially if you like your irons!

No one with authority to make changes has golf experience. If you love the game you will hate this course.
Sir/Madam, I see you have commented negatively about Forge Pond about 6 or 7 times over the past couple weeks. As always we appreciate feedback. Please stop by the pro-shop next time you golf as I would love to address the issues you are having.
