The course
I thought the course is well maintained and the staff were friendly. It was a nice day on the course, I definitely be back.
Forge Pond
I bought a "Hot Deal" single late in the day (12:50) I was paired with another single and a pair. It was one of the most fun golf days I have ever had. Thank you Derick, Eric & Akil
Great
Great little course. You will need most of your clubs but it us completely fair. A lot of bang for your buck.
Value plus
Greens and area around just airated so not as smooth as it will be in 2 weeks or so. Friendly staff and course is challenging and enjoyable!!
First Time
It was my first time coming here, and overall it was a great experience. There was a frost delay that backed everything up so the 11:40 tee time was pushed back significantly. However, that’s just the way it goes sometimes and there’s nothing that they could do about it. The greens were aerated so they weren’t in the best shape. Overall it seemed like a great course, just on a bad day. I’m sure that if I came later in the year then it would get 5 stars, for pace of play and course conditions but for now it’s getting a hopeful 4!
Good conditions for a late winter round
The greens were aerated, so conditions will be much better in a few weeks. It was a very windy day and there was a large brush fire nearby that closed the GSP South of the course. Played a hot deal, which was a bargain! The twosome we played with made it a very enjoyable round. If you haven't played Forge Pond, I'd recommend it.
Great shape for county course
Was impressed with the late winter/early spring conditions. Basic small course. No memorable holes. But good time and well taken care of.
Nice fast Course
Course is nice and fast to play. It’s early in the season but Tee boxes and greens were rough but the short course is challenging. Great place to practice your short game.
Forge Pond
Cart had a golf ball hole in the windshield. That tells you how the course is maintained. They cut a tree down and dropped it in the green so that was a mess. Tee boxes were dirt. I played with a couple of regulars that said the top dressed the greens a month ago. There was no grass on the greens still covered in sand. Layout is what it is and for a par 60 I thought that it was nice. Other golfers on the fairways because it is tight but everyone was nice. Cart paths were a mess. For $20 in the winter you get what you pay for I guess...
