Green Knoll Golf Course in Bridgewater Township has a varied terrain that provides a unique character to the course. The course sprawls across gently rolling hills dappled with mature trees. Much of the course's challenges are a result of the tricky contours. Some of the elevation changes are dramatic but there are also some subtle ones, which can be just as tricky. Further accuracy is required to maneuver the tight fairways. There are definitely challenges in store throughout but overall the golf course's playability appeals to all skill levels, from novices to avid golfers. It measures a manageable 6,443 yards from the back tees. In addition to the 18-hole course, there is also a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course. Green Knoll is one of five golf courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission.

I got paired up with 2 Asian women, who held their own from the front tees. Pace of play was excellent, slowed down after the turn when we caught up to a slower foursome. The greens were in great shape, best I've played on this season. It was a perfect weather day, had a good time.
Cut the rough !!!!
Played several times this year, but yesterday the rough was out of control. When ball lands in rough it is very hard to find. Also difficult to get at ball when grass is an inch or two above ball as it lies in the rough. So if u hit the fairways all the time, play it ! Otherwise, prepare for a frustrating day looking for ur ball and then trying to get out of rough......
However, if u are short of balls, just hunt around in the rough a lot , u might find 20 or so that golfers left behind, due to difficulty of locating them !!!!

Fairways and greens were very good. Barely any ball marks and very smooth.
Great course when conditions are right
I have heard from friends this course is often very wet and muddy with not the best conditions. When I played it had been hot and sunny for a few days consecutively so the course was looking beautiful and in excellent condition. I have no complaints!

I wish we had known that two holes were under construction before we booked
