Old Orchard Country Club

This was the worst and most frustrating round of golf that I ever had. The condition of the course is terrible. The place has potential but it seems that no one cares enough to improve it.

Rough is ok fairway is to high Sand traps have weeds growing out if it green are terrible slow to hairy no chance to make putts

I'm not one to write a scathing review, but this has to be one of the worst courses I've ever played. The Greens were battered, the fairways were literally non existent and the tee boxes on some holes were on a slope. it's almost as if this course hasn't been maintenanced in almost 10 years. This course should pay you the $60 greens fee just to play here. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS COURSE TO ANYONE! It's a shame, there is so much potential for this place to be a top 25 public course in New Jersey based on the location being 10 minutes away from the Jersey Shore. ALL GOLFERS AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!

Old Orchard is the golf course embodiment of laziness and shamelessness. The course condition is, simply put, something to point and laugh about. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens are all carelessly overgrown and neglected. With all this being said, the only reason why I’m writing this review is because they actually looked me in the eye and asked for $60 to play their course fully knowing it’s condition. You can play courses all over Monmouth county for cheaper, and they actually maintain them. These prices are DELUSIONAL, the owner should be horribly ashamed.

Only played 9 but plan on going back soon to play all 18!

Course definitely has potential to be one of the top spots in Monmouth County. Unfortunately last time I was there the landscaping was below par and could use some much needed TLC. Still a fun course to play and all staff is helpful.

First and last time playing this course.. There were no fairways and the greens were horrible. It's a shame because the layout of the course is really nice but for some reason , management doesn't take care of it...

The fairways are indistinguishable from the rough. the greens are shaggy & slow. It is in the typical condition of a golf course waiting to have homes/condos built on it. that said, $45 including cart for 18 holes, tee open at 7 am & no one around made it a very enjoyable day. absolutely worth it if 10 minutes from home. 18 holes & at the beach by 11:30

This course is in the worse condition I be e ever seen it in. I don’t know why. I used to play here often. Now there are parts of the course that aren’t even playable. I’m sorry to post this. Sometimes the truth hurts.

I have no idea what kind of golf courses some of these reviews are playing that this is considered acceptable to them. I chose to give it a shot again because I was in the area and tee times were wide open; I am so blown away with the abismal conditions here that I couldn't even wait until I drove home to write this. This course doesn't have the basic fundamentals of any golf course, and by that I don't mean water or ball washers or anything like that. I mean tee boxes, fairways and greens. The tee boxes and rough length and dirt patches. The fairway is 2 inch long rough, and the greens are fairway length. It is physically impossible to make a putt. A 10 foot putt on any other real courses green goes maybe 3 feet here. It's unfathomable that after all these terrible reviews they have done nothing about it. How hard is it to cut your fairways and greens? AND to top it all off they have the nerve to charge over $50 to WALK. there's probably 20 other courses that cost that within a half hour that are leaps and bounds more put together than this place. The literal only good thing I can say about it is because most people to understand to never come here without being physically forced to, I played in 2.5 hours by myself and only saw 2 other groups anywhere on the course. Such a shame because it is a pretty cool layout but I unfortunately I. and hopefully anyone else after reading this, will never return.

while the course has improved since i last played, many of the sand traps show signs of fresh fox burrows. in fact we did see foxes on the course in multiple locations. a little unsettling as they were not bothered by human contact.

We play this course every summer for last 30 years. It has fallen in serious disrepair over last nunber of years. While is not back to where it was, it was a pleasant surprise this year! Greens, while a bit slow were tru and actually looked great- only a few bad spots. Not as many weeds on the fairway and fairways and rough could be (somewhat) distinguished-- this may not seem like alot but a huge improvement from years past. One of the best layouts PERIOD you will find anywhere. Thankful it is starting to come back and I hope they continue

The course has some good holes but the condition of the course is not good but one reason why so inexpensive. The greens are the slowest I have ever played. Great course for the price and for the average hack. Great hot dogs and drinks though at between 5 and 14 hole
