Opened in 1929, Old Orchard Country Club has a classic design with challenges that stand up to modern golf courses. Throughout the course, you'll see traces of the site's former use as a farm. Ancient apple trees from the original orchard frame many of the holes. The diverse layout will test you with a variety of different shots but the gently rolling terrain makes for an easy walk. Skill and strategy will be generously rewarded but it's not an overly punishing layout for the high handicapper. Old Orchard's greens play true and fast and they are often flanked with strategically positioned bunkers. A stream wanders through the golf course, coming into play on several holes. Golfers will face a tricky island green on the par-5 seventh hole as well as an almost-island green on the par-4 13th.

$65 For a trash Golf Course
In its day this Golf Course was probably top notch .
My son and I played this morning.
It was by far one of the worst golf courses I’ve ever played.
Greens were chopped up.
Tee boxes are horrible
It’s a shame that they don’t maintain the course.
Don’t waste your money or time .

RUDE STAFF
Had an 8:12 Tee time. Course was already out of Pull Carts. We asked to upgrade to riding carts, they said you booked walking. THEY cancelled my tee time and then refused to give a discount.
GOLF NOW will NOT help.

Poor shape
Fairway is somewhat ok, still may have to move the ball to find a grassy spot occasionally. Samr for some of the greens, you will have to move to a decent spot. When you putt, the ball should not be bouncing.

Great course architecture, poor management/course upkeep
Not worth the money, poor course conditions, grounds crew routinely hangs out on holes, cuts infront if you in the middle of the round. Greens are trash, bunkers are now weed traps a
$45 dollar round with cart at best, don’t waste your money.

Very sad
I have played this course many times over the past 25 years. And i used to love it. They stopped caring for the course and it is a shame that is in such horrible playing condition. Very sad!

Might be the worst course of all time
You should only play here if you can’t break 110. Anyone who’s decent at golf will understand that paying $70 for a place that has no fairways, rough ON greens, destroyed tee boxes and concrete bunkers is a ripoff. This place should be priced at $20 and can’t believe people come here. Hasn’t been maintained in 3 years it seems like. I would hit 100 yard shots 100 feet in the air and it would bounce 8ft after landing on the green. The layout makes it a very easy to score but you can’t make putts or get chips close when it’s rolling over rocks and rough. Starter was nice.

Looking for buyer
This course is a shell of its former self. The layout is great . It needs a ton of TLC .
I am grateful it is still here .
I pray that we can keep the Amazon gorillas at bay.
Who can I talk to about purchasing it so I can work on getting investors to transform it back to its former glory .

Value
Good value for whacking the ball around. Fairways offer fluffy lie. Greens are long and slow..Nice layout with generous landing areas. There are some damaged areas on greens. Don’t expect a “country club “ and you can have a fun time.

Course Needs Work
greens were in horrible condition, cart paths worn out in several areas. tee boxes were in terrible condition

The guy at the pro shop said I was too early for my golf now time and he should make me wait the 30 mins but let us go anyways. Literally no one there. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all beat up bad. Horrible bumpy cart path. Not a good value. Will not return.

Course conditions aren't AS abismal as everyone makes them sound. Fairway is definitely too long and greens are slow and with some brown spots but if this place was a little cheaper the layout is nice. My biggest gripe is we show up for our 8am tee time and get told that there's a tournament going off at 10 so we have to be off the course by then.. which makes absolutely no sense because everyone was teeing off the first for the tournament so there was no reason to even mention it, why would I have to be off the course if I'm on hole 12 by 10am and everyone is teeing off of 1? Anyway, if it was run a bit smoother and was the $28 walking/$40 with cart that this level of maintenance deserves to be at it would be a pretty good option

Finally getting some attention
This course has had its fair share of bad reviews and rightly so. I usually don’t write reviews but I must say this year (so far) they seems to be trying. The course is in much better shape than it has been in years. You can actually see they have hired additional help and it shows. You can at least tell the difference between the fairway and 2nd cut. So I’m glad to see they are trying. Gotta get those greens and especially the bunkers in better shape that will make a lot of people happier. This course deserve some recognition. I will say it’s a good start. Hopefully these better conditions leads to better player experiences which leads to better course conditions hopefully. Keep it up!!!

What a waste
Staff is exceptional, price is affordable, fairways and greens are atrocious, raggedy, chopped up, unkempt. The course layout is amazing, gives you every different look, requires a multiplicity of strokes.

COURSE IS ATROCIOUS
Worst course I have ever played. Miserable tee boxes, can’t tell the difference from the rough and the fairway, greens were god awful. They should be allowing people to play this course for FREE.

Course needs attention
The course played like it hasn't been looked after for quite some time. Dandelions and weeds in the fairways, some were thread bare in spots and others were overgrown a bit too. Rough seemed neglected, overgrown, with patchy clumps, needs to be cut. Greens scarred with bare patches, bumpy surfaces, embedded stones, uneven grass coverage. Tees were overgrown, like teeing up in rough. Traps lacked playable sand. Nice looking track, with proper care it can be a nice place to play. Staff was nice too, but in it's present condition, very hard to score well. Putting was guesswork with all the bumps, balls bounced as much as they rolled. How hard to hit a putt was guesswork with how many bounces would be involved. Hard to hold a line with all the bumps. Needs proper attention.
