Opened in 1929, Old Orchard Country Club has a classic design with challenges that stand up to modern golf courses. Throughout the course, you'll see traces of the site's former use as a farm. Ancient apple trees from the original orchard frame many of the holes. The diverse layout will test you with a variety of different shots but the gently rolling terrain makes for an easy walk. Skill and strategy will be generously rewarded but it's not an overly punishing layout for the high handicapper. Old Orchard's greens play true and fast and they are often flanked with strategically positioned bunkers. A stream wanders through the golf course, coming into play on several holes. Golfers will face a tricky island green on the par-5 seventh hole as well as an almost-island green on the par-4 13th.

Local, historical, great layout and improved from past few years.
Apocalyptic course
If there was a golf course in I am legend this would be it!!!!
Awful shape
The employees were very nice and pace of play was great. The course is in AWFUL shape. Weeds are everywhere, the greens are in awful shape, the fairway is very long. I’m done here
Backyard Golf
Let me start by saying the guys in the clubhouse were great. Wiped down our cart for COVID, etc.
The course on the other hand was less than stellar. Long rough (as in the grass just didn't get mowed), greens that you feel like you should chip instead of putt they are so slow, missing Red tee boxes on probably 30% of the holes, weeds and dandelions everywhere, and just an overall general sense of neglect.
The 3 guys ahead of us put it perfectly..."$42 bucks to play this rag huh? Jokes on us!"

A gem of a course with excellent staff!
We had a wonderful round in a difficult time. They were packed because most courses still aren’t open and people are dying to get out. The phone rang constantly, people had to ride 1 to a cart, and they had to constantly cleaned. This could’ve made for testy interactions but the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more professional. The manager is smart and flexible and always found a solution. The course is an old school layout that requires thinking and shotmaking. We’ll definitely come back. Play this course. You won’t be disappointed!

Expensive for below average
If you’re looking to get out there late afternoon, work on some shots and take your time this is where you want to go. Conditions for the price are absurd, I’ve played on courses that charge 50$ and every hole and green is well kept and phenomenal condition. Only course I have ever been to that doesn’t have a fairway, 50% of the greens are in below average conditions. Dont mind playing late afternoon for very cheap, but if youre looking to play a good round save your money for somewhere else. You will be severely disappointed to overpay for this course.

Course condition
Golf course not in good shape tees greens bunkers absolutely terrible I will not play it again. With a little tender loving care it could be a very nice place to play. It is apparent the greens superintendent does not have much interest in conditions around course it’s time to get out the Rake and clean up

highly recommend you give this little gem a try
vastly improved in the last few months love this course, it was a busy day for the February, But pace was great Greens played very well. course has really cleaned up shop staff always friendly all in all a great day hope the weather stays mild enough for another game soon all in all Doing a Great job Old Orchard Thank You see you again soon

The course condition is not good but it is worth for the fee I paid.

Old Orchard
Played here many times over many years and it is consistent. With a hot deal it is worth it but I would not pay full price. I know it is late in the year and long greens would be fine but there are many patches of missing green. The fairways are similar with many bare or crabgrass patches.

I played here several months ago and left a similar review to the ones I see posted, regarding the poor playing conditions. And I see that someone is monitoring the reviews, but nothing seems to get done. Are there any plans to improve the playing conditions of the course? If so, I know I'd return.
destroyed a great course
i caddied at this course in the 50's and played the course many many times before going into the service and after i was discharged. this is one of the better designed course by a very famous designer. the old membership had many changes done to the course while i was in the service which hurt some of the holes. the course has great potential if money is put back into the course it could be as good as it was in the 50's& 60's
this course in the condition it is in is NOT worth the charge to play

Course was in good condition for this time of year. I have played this course many times. Lately I have been disappointed, but today was great. No crabgrass.
