Old Orchard Country Club

I can play 18 holes in just over 3 hrs. Perfect for a quick round..The course needs cutting in some areas but greens are in good shape..Overall a good round for the cost.

Layout of the course was great!! But the condition of the course was terrible!! Probably the worst I’ve played on this year! Crabgrass took over the entire course.

Old Orchard is an architecturally excellent golf course.. All the holes have good designs especially 4 , 7, 10, 13, 14 and 18. Since the middle of July I see a lot extra effort being put into improving the fairways and areas around the greens The greens are already excellent and have been so since the beginning of the season. I play there often in the evening and see a lot of work being done in terms of watering fertilizing ,cutting ....much more than I saw earlier in the year. I find the front office staff to be friendly and accommodating especially Bob, Elizabeth and Rebecca.

This course can improve for sure but I like it and will continue to play here. I see a lot of effort being put in by some very nice people and hope that they succeed . This course has served the surrounding community for a long time. There is no other public course in the area making it super convenient.

They have let this course fall into complete disrepair. Zero effort, crab grass all over, traps are not groomed, do not waste your time or money here.

All things considered for this time of year and for us it was a "hot deal" course is in good shape.. greens aren't bad (as they can get this time of year).. We'll be returning

This course is horrible!

It's obvious that they are not putting any money into the course. It's a total mess. Fairways are uneven and loaded with crab grass. Bunkers are hard packed mud with weeds growing throughout. Greens as poorly maintained and all the while they have the audacity to ask for $55 to play on a Friday.....it's not even worth $15 to play.

With some many other great courses to choose from I would definitely recommend finding another place.

Greens were 7.5 out of 10 but everything was a 0 grass growing out of bunkers . Weeds everywhere. Some spots weren’t even cut. They keep the greens good but no effort in growing grass or fixing bunkers

lovely layout ... friendly staff greeted me .... although conditions were not perfect we had a good time ... definitely coming back soon !!!

Quick pace of golf .... staff were friendly and helpful .... overall was good day for golf .. if you are in the area definitely stop by for a round of golf !!!

This course has a great layout i'm told its a A.W Tillinghast course. Who designed many great courses, we had a fun time. Some dry conditions due to the extreme heat at the shore, Greens were very good The staff were nice at the check in And Hotdogs at the shack were awesome . Look forward to my next visit to this course

This course was in terrible condition and they expect players to pay over $60 to play. The bunkers were filled up with weeds and not enough sand and were rock solid on some holes. The fairways were filled with heavy grass clippings so they were not smooth fairways. The grass through the course was high in spots it should have been low and areas that should have been weed whacked were completely avoided. The greens were in horrible shape with lots of divots and burned up grass ion the greens. There were fallen trees throughout the course that is being completely neglected and interfering with the course of play. I strongly recommend everyone avoid this course it is a waist of money.

Place is junk. I wouldn’t play there for free. Zero groundskeeping ... zero concern for quality of grass. Save your time and money ... play somewhere else

I finished my round in 3h15 min.on a weekend that’s a great day out.I enjoy playing fast so I can get back to beach etc.

This course has the audacity to charge $60 from golf now for a maximum $20 course. EVERY aspect is terrible. Zero maintenance on the course. EMBARRASSMENT!!! I will never play this course again and if you read this and still play it.....Shame on you!!!

If I could choose zero stars I would....

Arrived 30 minutes early. Course was empty. Pro shop attendant says I have to wait until start time. Mind you no was out there. I asked why and was told if I went out before my time it would be “stealing “. I said what difference since no one was there and was told that he wasn’t going to let me “steal “ because I had such a cheap rate. So I sat around waiting for my tee time. The course was probably good in it’s day, but it is poorly maintain, and getting run down. A real shame. But with such poor customer relations it’s no wonder! It’s one step above a driving range.

The course was basically empty. Got there a half hour early and was told I had to wait until my tee time. There was no one there. Parking lot was empty. I asked why and was told because I got a cheap rate. Asked what difference and was told I would be ‘stealing ‘ if I went out before my time. I said I paid the Golf Now rate and wasn’t stealing anything. Was told I could go putt balls but couldn’t get out before my tee time. So I sat on a bench and waited even though there was no one there!!! Absurd!!! Kept being accused of stealing because of the cheaper rate. Ridiculous

In short, this course is atrocious and should not be operational, let alone charging $60+ for a round. If half a star was an option I would choose that. I read a number of bad reviews ahead of my round this morning, but still decided to give it a shot because they had tee times available all early morning. Now I know why; all of the bad reviews were true. I'm convinced that any and all positive reviews are written by people associated with this place. To start, I arrived about 30 minutes early for a 7:21 tee time only to find the doors locked and no one present. There was a group waiting for a 7:03 tee time as well. Someone eventually came around the top of the hour to check people in. No starter was present, so my foursome just went out when we were ready, even letting a pair with a later tee time go ahead. Every facet of the course was unkempt, from tee boxes to greens. It hadn't rained in a week but the cup on the first hole was filled to the brim with water. There were weeds growing everywhere and patchy, uneven surfaces across the whole course. We lost countless balls on shots just off the fairway due to the conditions of the grass. Bunkers were filled with literal feet of water, had high grass growing out of them, were filled with loose branches, or were just rock hard. One tee box had no markers. One pin had no flag attached. There were garbage cans turned over and trash strewn about. To top it all off, both of our carts broke down during the round, one on the front nine, the other on the back nine. Both times we called the front desk and a ranger arrived with a new one. However, he was able to quicky restart the second one, which was a clear indication that he knew what was wrong with the cart yet had still allowed it to be available to customers that morning. Of course, our replacement cart broke down again a few holes later, but managed to be revived by a push from our other cart. In short, not only will I never return to this course, but I believe the people running the place are robbing those who actually choose to play there. The course is a complete mess. Please save yourself the money and time, and find elsewhere to play.

The course may be the best around to get a quick 18 in...I played in a little over 3 hrs. and never had to wait for group in front..For the money it a good deal and since I like to play fast it’s perfect.
