Opened in 1929, Old Orchard Country Club has a classic design with challenges that stand up to modern golf courses. Throughout the course, you'll see traces of the site's former use as a farm. Ancient apple trees from the original orchard frame many of the holes. The diverse layout will test you with a variety of different shots but the gently rolling terrain makes for an easy walk. Skill and strategy will be generously rewarded but it's not an overly punishing layout for the high handicapper. Old Orchard's greens play true and fast and they are often flanked with strategically positioned bunkers. A stream wanders through the golf course, coming into play on several holes. Golfers will face a tricky island green on the par-5 seventh hole as well as an almost-island green on the par-4 13th.

No longer upkept
So much potential but after not playing there for a few years when it was still nice,I just played there this weekend and it's a complete mess. Weeds and branches everywhere sand traps are more like cement traps. Looks like the course is no longer cared for

Good Course for driving
Nice wide open shots for driving.
A little hard to find balls though.

Highway robbery
Used to play this course a couple years back and was always decent. Now there is only one way to describe it, absolute dogshit.
Outrageously bad
This course is unacceptable on all accounts. You couldn’t pay me to play here again. Just completely unkept and there is a clear lack of effort being put into course maintenance. The bunkers are growing trees in them, fairways look like my messy neighbor’s front lawn, and green speed varies by hole. Just a mess. I wish I were smart enough to take pictures because this place makes Cruz farms look like Augusta. Pathetic.

Hole in one on Par 3, 14th, 150yds, 7 iron! Yes! What a feeling!
Course condition fair, sand traps and cart paths terrible and pace of pace very slow!

Poor conditions

Great pace of play compared to other Monmouth courses
Played 18 holes in 3 hrs. and 15 which on a Weekend is great....Course is in fair shape but for the price and pace of play a real bargain..

Very poor condition
The course is set up very nicely and is very scenic, I saw some deer and other Wildlife during play. However, the course is in extremely poor condition. The tee boxes are unkempt, the fairways had very little grass and are not very attractive. the greens are very slow and the bunkers have no sand, only dirt.
I was extremely disappointed with the course, especially for what they charge. Don't see myself visiting back any time soon.

Embarrassing Conditions
I just want to echo all the poor reviews here. I’ve played this course many times before, mostly due to it being convenient/close to home. It has always been in poor condition. Decided to play there this past weekend (this time because there were open tee times). The conditions were deplorable. High grass everywhere, bunkers were horrendous, no water in the few ball washers that they have, no water in the coolers, etc. The bar and snack shack has NEVER been open for as long as I’ve played there.They seem to have stopped performing the bare minimum of golf course maintenance tasks. They should be embarrassed and it’s an insult to charge as much as they do.
I had thought perhaps they’re severely understaffed. I would certainly understand that. But I immediately discarded that notion as I walked to the parking lot (after the round) and saw two staff members sitting outside of the pro shop locked onto their cell phones. I can help but think that the time sitting there could’ve been better utilized filling up a ball washer/water cooler or fixing any number of problems there. Seeing that was the last straw for me and will not be back.

Horrible
Haven’t played this course in a few years but thought we would give it a try since it’s close to home. Tee times were right on top of one another and we tee’d off 15 minutes late at 9:45 and waited on every hole. I know it was Fathers Day but the ranger, though very nice (maybe too nice), did nothing to speed it up. To top it off a group cut 2 holes to get ahead of us while we finished on the green. They wouldn't budge as we confronted them. The ranger also confronted them but did nothing. So now we had to wait twice as long on every hole. The course was like playing in your front yard. Grass really high with weeds and clovers. Sand traps either hard as a rock or grass grown. Clubhouse bar was closed. Waste of money! Looks like they will be selling soon.

Fathers Day get away
Quick round on Pops day not to crowed so pace of play was good.Greens are in much better shape then a few weeks ago.

A waste of a good layout
Three group backups on holes, great layout but very poorly kept, weeds around every green, just a waste really.

Rain is brightening up course
With all the rain of late the course is plush green.The grass has been cut and aerated the green and fairways are now in much better shape.Enjoyable day on the course.

Course needs serious work
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The course is in awful shape and they should be ashamed. The tee boxes are non existent, dead grass all over the rough in clumps and the fairways??? What fairways, it was nothing but patchy grass w weeds all over. Was not worth what we paid at all.
