Golfer Reviews
In a pinch
Always a very slow pace...our T time was 1:37. We did not get to start until 2 o'clock...finished at 7:20. SLOOOOOOOW
Some holes
Lookout for hole 3 & 13 they are unfair. 13 is wicked long par 5.
It's all Good except....
The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the course was in super shape and the green were awesome. Negatives: No ball washers out (but we did have one on the cart), no yardage markers out (but there were some in the grass - usually below eye level), management needs to train new staff better on the register operations. The had a difficult time doing anything slightly out of the ordinary - but they were very friendly and nice).
Great Experience
I always enjoy playing the Metro Park courses and this day was no different. I especially like Indian Springs become of it's "up north" feel. The color is beautiful in the fall but was only showing a little on this visit. The course was in outstanding shape as always. I'm a little indifferent about the course sand in the traps. I typically finding myself chipping out vs. exploding. I look forward to returning in another week to play and take in the color.
Good Course / Poor value
This is a good course for beginners and advanced golfers. It has always been a good value when booked on GolfNow until 9/13/14. like many times in the best...I received a very good deal through GolfNow. The issue is that they charge you $7 to enter the Metro Park. In the past, I was always reimbursed $5 of the park entry fee. This past Saturday, they refused to reimburse the $5 and cited some small print. This park loses it's vaue as a good option if they are going to nickel and dime patrons that come to use the golf course. I will not be playing at Indian Springs Metro Park again.
Love the MetroPark Courses
I play Indian Springs a few times a year. It is just such a great value and not far from my house. Pace of play is usually pretty good, even on weekends. The course is in above average shape. Especially important because of the winter we just had.
Great course, rude staff
Great course. I felt the staff was very rude because I used "technology" to get a better deal that their listed prices. Then the group behind us hit a golf ball at two separate times and did not use etiquette and one of the times the ranger saw us upset but did nothing. Disappointed in the staff which will make also the beer cart girl will drive across the course while your about to drive off the tee. me never want to golf here again.
Excellent Staff
First course I've been to in long time were every interaction with some level of staff was outstanding!
This is a great course
I have played here at least 3 or 4 times the fairways and greens are well taking care of. I would recommend this course to anyone.
unexpected test of golf skills
The first hole was as vanilla as it gets...short, straight, flat, wide open tee shot, fairly flat green. We were pleasantly surprised that changed quickly on #2. The remainder of the holes were challenging but fair. doglegs, elevation changes, undulated and true rolling greens, narrow fairways, and it's stretched out from the back tees. The tee boxes were a bit shaggy and beat up but manageable. Overall the course was in good shape but the pace of play was a bit slow for us. The price was right though, definitely will give it another shot.
Indian Springs Metropark
this course was in good shape the people were Pleasant only problem I had was the website said free parking there was no free parking but they did give you 5 dollar off your round of golfI love the golf now you can get gone for a great deal
Pleasantly Surprised!
I booked nine holes for two riding with a price of $21 each. When we arrived, we paid $7 to enter the park, but you get $5 back if you present the sticker at the check-in counter. We were then told that the price we booked on-line was for eighteen holes. So, we played 18 holes for $37 with a cart for two people! Pleasantly surprised!
Nice course , easy to play
Tees and greens in nice shape, fair course good layout. Plenty of water coolers, cart girl is around often
great value, challenging course
Played this course about 3 times now and I enjoy it everytime, if I'm not losing balls in the many wooded and long grass areas lol. A long par 5, some birdieable par 4's and hilly greens give a great variety. Recommended much.
Remember to add park entrance fee
I just call them and asked about the park entrance fee. I was told $7 and that was in addition to the green fees. The prices that Golfnow shows is the same price on their website. Either way, add $7 unless you have a yearly park fee
good mshape
We played this course the day after a big rain.I wassurprised that it wasn't cart paths only. The greens were a little bumpy but ran a decent speed. The course was in good shape overall.
Very long
This course is extremely long. We teed off at 3:20 on a monday afternoon and didn't see another person until we finished the 18th around 7:00.
Great Day
The weather was cool and breezily comfortable.
The round started a little late and was slow for the first few holes.
Overall the day was great, the course in good condition and reinforced the track as one of my favorites.
Indian Springs Metro Park
Be sure to confirm with GOLFNOW.COM or course about getting reimbursed for park fee. Because of the low rate, they were reluctant to do this.
